... Also, try BlockMen's DirectX Build. Less bugs, more mod compatible, and generally just better all around.
Not sure if OpenGL is causing the crash.

... oh, cut me some slack here. No doubt that there are heavy differences in processors. There's only one way to tell how well Minetest will run on mobiles: test it on as many machines as possible. The Nexus 5 when it ships will become the most powerful non-Apple gaming phone. That would be a good p...

I'm assuming you don't have a desktop environment, otherwise you would have just dropped the folder into the terminal. ;-)

Luke of Playstarz has a build (touch interface!) of Minetest available on the Play Store. The Java frontend's closed source, but the backend is the Minetest-engine, and I assume the community will be making a lot of mobile optimizations. Considering that he has/had controllers working with STK, I wo...

Your settings are wonky. Grab BlockMen's DirectX build and give it a try.

CPU maxes out on my dualcore - although that's because I'm running both mobf and simplemobs, and did a few other tweaks. Running it as a multiplayer server is fine - so long as I have only three other players. Modern Minetest is pretty demanding. Older builds might run smoother, but the latest minet...

Ow, that's brutal.
This is the best build of minetest. Anyroad, you'll want to grab a lower-res texture pack from the TPs forum, install that, and try BlockMen's build again. Maybe DirectX will work (if not, you can change it to direct3d8)...
Good luck!

When I first played Minetest, I was blown away - and that was dev 01-0222 or something like that. One of the earlier dev versions, anyways. Back then, there was a basic modding interface, and generally, we just messed around, built sculptures out of leaves, and tested out various things. Those mobs ...

It's coming out when it's ready to. In the meantime, you can benefit from the latest updates by using a custom build. I use BlockMen's Win32 build. For truly bleeding edge, grab sfan's build, or grab a build of proller's Next (from the engine development forum). We don't know when it'll be stable en...

How 2D mobs work? Is there limits on animations? I want to make a minetest game inspired by the early first-person games( ex. Doom, Catacomb 3d,etc.) Catacomb 3Dhttp://i.emezeta.com/weblog/videojuegos-shooters-fps/catacomb-3d.png Before you contributed 3d models to Simple Mobs, it made use of 2D Mo...

:-/ I've had older unofficial builds crud out on me with XP. I'll stop shilling soon, honest, but I fully recommend giving BlockMen's Build a try . Be warned that it is built from the dev versions, so there might be incompatibilities with older servers.* Since it's newer, it brings a bunch of nice f...

A little feedback from a half-baked user. The Guard: Works well. I love having somebody to watch my back. The interface could use some work - give him an inventory of his own, with a weapons slot, armor slots, and maybe the ability to carry a few additional items. A screen with mob targetting button...
