Odd, I have bobblocks installed in my system, in fact I use it alongside my homedecor mod:

Well if it does, I guess that just means this would be similar, but nothing says it has to be exactly 10 levels or that similarities are bad to begin with (if they were, Minetest couldn't exist at all). It could also be expressed as a percentage of damage, with a number of crack.png frames that divi...

Proposal: persistent node damage

I can't code this of course, but maybe the idea is worth looking into: Whenever you start digging in an area, occasionally, you find yourself digging at a node briefly and then moving on to another node without breaking the last one (perhaps because you accidentally moved the mouse, or who knows why...

Indeed, the bushes mod (actually part of nature pack in my case), and the poison ivy mod are installed, but they're not visible in the screenshot (there's an example of each just behind the main pyramidal stack, randomly spawned as usual). Those which I intentionally placed for display are listed in...

Where I live, about 1 km above sea level, it is rather common to end up "in the clouds" due to normal changes in the weather. On very rare occasion, I've seen those clouds stretch down slightly further. For the sake of the game, if one were to change the cloud height, it should be 1000 meters, and t...

Vanessa's texture pack test track [20130413]

Recently, I was inspired to make a world/map one can use to show off (and perhaps snap screenshots of) texture packs or perhaps variations on several popular mods. It's something I've been wanting to make for a while, and the one that Calinou recently posted kinda gave me incentive to finally get to...

sfan: that's an artifact of the color constraints in place - the C64 doesn't have a color that's midway between brown and black, and it didn't seem to look right when I first tried to base the dirt on brown. I may revise it later, though. This texture pack is far from complete :-)

Some Linux distros also offer to send you discs in the mail, sometimes for free. Ready-to-install copies of Ubuntu can be had for 5 British Pounds plus shipping for a pack of five, with the idea being that you can hand copies (or the originals) out to others as much as you want.

I can only recommend Linux applications, as that's the OS I use; "RecordMyDesktop" works well enough for the video part. Gnome Sound Recorder should suffice for the audio part. VLC for the video player. AVIDemux for the video editor. In Windows, I don't know what you'd use for the desktop recorder, ...

Well of course the simple way is to do what you're doing now, but clearly that doesn't work :-) The next simplest way is to find some other program to do the job. Failing that, you will have to record the video and the sound separately. To do that, follow this plan (it looks harder than it really is...

suggestion: use a screen capture program to record the video portion, then play the recording back in a normal video player, while you record your audio with just any normal sound recorder. Combine them using your video editor, adjust the audio delay option to match them up (there will usually be so...

It isn't your microphone, it's the software you're using to process your video before uploading it. Something's screwing up the audio sync; my guess is the audio is playing fast relative to the video, which is why the audio pitch and sync are so far off.

The only problem with letting minetest composite the two together is that the game only does an all-or-nothing overlay between the two - either a pixel is 100% dirt or 100% grass. That works fine for a 16px hand-drawn texture, but if you want something that leans more toward realistic, smoothly blen...

The video you made about my texture pack is badly broken - your audio is high pitched, wayyyyyy out of sync with the video (as in 30 seconds or more), and the whole thing is cut off at the end. :(

Well this is not a Minecraft forum - this is for Minetest, an open source (C++) game similar in concept to Minecraft. It is neither a clone nor a derivative; it is it's own game with mods, texture packs, and features that are unique to it. As for the web address you're trying to connect to, it is no...

All default textures used in Minetest are developed specifically for it; if anything comes from Minecraft, it'll be something not sanctioned by the Minetest developers, as part of some third-party texture pack or in a mod of one sort or another.
