Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.0.1 TSS]

@smacker: I have already noticed this bug, but thanks. I'll try to fix it asap.
@thomas: oh no, they've broken the particle spawners again...

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

The second half of current interlocked lines:

The light green line is roughly outlining the course of the lines in gpcf's map. You need to merge both maps in your mind to get a complete map.

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.0.1 TSS]

Hey, that looks really nice!
BTW: there is a script to map all tracks laid in a world as SVG. Also on git.bananach.space/advtrains_netmapper, usage instructions in main.lua
I know that gpcf was working on a similar feature to be integrated into this netmapper

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.0.1 TSS]

There's now an official Wiki for advtrains, located at https://advtrains.de/wiki/.
It has to be filled with content. You are invited to contribute!

Re: Formspec replacement proposal

Hi, This proposal looks very promising, and I really appreciate that formspecs are to be replaced. However, I have (at the moment) a far bigger problem with how formspec interactions are handled. Examples: - The state of a checkbox is not available on a button submit, only directly on change - Same ...

Re: [Server] Inside The Box [Puzzles]

Regarding "mech" structures: There are 2 things that I am missing while building my space station. 1. Would it be possible to add an XOR gate as a single block? I found out that building one with adders and inverters is quite buggy. 2. It would be good to have some sort of feedback for the...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [2.0 TSS]

@Smacker: I fixed this problem yesterday. Before "replacing" the train's ATC command, 1 top-level condition is evaluated, and the command is not sent when it would result in an empty command.

Schau mal in "games". Wenn du MT nämlich über git clone herutergeladen hast ist Minetest Game nicht mit dabei, nur minimal. Dann lade dir einfach https://github.com/minetest/minetest_game herunter (wenn du nicht gerade MT 5.0 hast musst du b...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [1.13]

TSS update - advtrains version 2.0 released! After over a year of development, I finally announce the official release of what was formerly known as the TSS branch. The old master branch has been deprecated and is further available as "master_old" If you were using Git to install the &quo...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [1.13]

We have deployed the TSS branch on the LinuxWorks server, which acts as a "public beta" for it. So far, it has proven working and stable. I will officially deprecate the current "master" branch in the next week.

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

The first thing is exactly what I had planned, and what I will do next. Regarding level crossings, I planned 2 operation modes for them, as they are in real life: 1. Level crossing is integrated into the signal box, working similar to route locks. (Crossing closes when route is set)-> useful for cro...

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

This is one of the functions that the Stop Rail will implement. It will "suspend" ARS temporarily, until the train is about to depart. There will also be a switch for disabling ARS on the Onboard Computer. If required and wanted by players, I might also add an ATC command binding for that ...

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

Today I pushed the "point speed restriction" rails and the first version of the "stop rail" that is supposed do successively replace ATC-based railway operation. Since my exam period approaches, I will from now on only fix bugs found in the advtrains TSS version. I will then offi...

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

The debug output saying "step_dist" tells the distance the train moved in the last step x1000. Since dtime is now always 0.2 (advtrains clips this internally), this distance is exactly 15*0.2 = 3 nodes However, the 1 step between "ATC command received" and "start braking&quo...

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

Warning There appears to be a bug in the execution of automatic brake commands. This applies to both the ATC "B" command and the train safety system (LZB) that makes trains stop in front of signals. This has so far led to train's braking distances increasing by about 3 nodes, however brak...

Re: [Server] LinuxWorks Next Generation (Lots of trains)

— The trains either brake at a lower rate of deceleration, or react with a delay. As a result, trains on my routes now stop several blocks farther than where they used to (and were supposed to). Sometimes the trains even overshoot the platforms by several blocks. The acceleration/brake dynamics sho...

Re: [Mod] Advanced Trains [advtrains] [1.13]

I guess nothing. Are there any trains missing in your world? Else, you can ignore this.
The message "remove_train failed" should be harmless. However, can you PM me just the file called "advtrains" from the world directory of the pre-update world, so I can check the cause?
Thanks
