I think I am having a similar issue to LazerRay in that I cannot find any deserts when using mapgen 7 in 0.4.12. Is this fixed as part of 0.4.13?

Also, I think that Minetest is better than Minecraft because it is written solely for people to have fun rather than to make money.

ok, thanks. perhaps whoever writes technic could add a thing to add desert to v7. is there a setting on minetest.config that might activate desert?

yes but i didn't explore that one fully. I don' think there was desert though. is mapgen v7 working properly? i have not seen desert on any worlds where i used v7.

EDIT: I have not seen any papyrus either but I have not been looking quite so hard.

I have only found grass and forest. are there any other mods that could cause this?

Edit: there are beaches but they are all normal sand not desert sand

I think I am having trouble with the technic mapgen mod or biome_lib because I have flown and teleported all over my world and there is no desert stone! is this a common thing?

Can someone make a patch to allow you to take stuff out of the fuel bit of a furnace with a filter. I am finding this really annoying with lava buckets and ethanol bottles in an automatic crafting engine.

The server has been really laggy over the last few days. sometimes it doesn't load for minutes at a time

I was mining at about -170, y, -1650 when I fell down a hole and died. when I got back, a few minutes later, my bones had gone, so I have lost most of my valuable items. why did this happen? I thought that no-one could steal from fresh bones.

i think the game would be better with some sort of hunger and healing mechanism, signs lib, more foods and other ores, if these do not affect the running too much
