Of course it would be great to have a Minetest build on iOS but I’m not sure if the core devs would allow it as it is still an abusing of the lice...

But the old servers would update if there weren’t so much forks which keep the old server full... this results in Minetest players using the old version and so on.

It’s hard to say real situations as all clients are just the old ones.
We can say that there should be more Minetest players but we can’t say that there are less forks. You could calculate the percentage when adding also the join count of the other server.
