Re: Client Modding :)

Re: Server disappears from serverlist with ipv6.

Make sure you enable IPv6 in your server configuration: ipv6_server = true The reason is that if you domain has an IPv6 record, your Minetest server is expected to be reachable over IPv6 too. Thanks first! Is the server still ipv4 reachable? I'm asking cause all ips than are ipv6 and just have this...

Server disappears from serverlist with ipv6.

My server disappears when I add an AAAA (ipv6) record to my domain. Not sure if this is really a minetest Problem or a basic internet problem. Any Ideas? Domain: subgames.minetest.land ipv4: 185.234.72.95 ipv6: 2a01:367:c204::17:4e1 I remove the record again to keep it visible on the list. Thanks fo...

Re: There are too many PRs

As Wuzzy already said there should be a fast and clear "review plan". There should be a fix order to not loss any time on doing steps for nothing Example order: Is the goal accepted and clearly discussed? (Maybe only allow PRs with previous Issue) Does the PR solves this Problem? Were builds success...

ANAND / ClobberXD is now a core developer. More people are being considered Hope this helps. I currently also have... ...one pr which were only one time aproved ...one reviewed pr which weren't merged or denied afterwards ...one rebase-PR which were not even touched ...one non trival which could be...

Re: There are too many PRs

Another thing about dev-time. I think it would be useful to split lua and core development up. C++ Minetest Developement is a lot more harder to understand than just modding. There is no core_api.txt file like lua_api.txt informing about all the classes. A lot more people could be minetest-mods "cor...

Lejo, hi
I have a question ?
why are the players sometimes
go out independently kick from your server without what you did
This seems to be a bug. Do you know in which case this happens?
Is this a new thing?

Re: Chat CSMs - call to Compatibilty

Coloring and ignore depend on detecting message author. Bell and ignore depend on detecting message type. isn't it more sane to write the code once? Sure it would be! That sort of defeats the idea of independent mod. Also it requires hardcoding the setup, thus making reusing code hard. Yep, was an ...

Re: Chat CSMs - call to Compatibilty

Currently, the mod can print the modified message and return true, thus cutting of all other callbacks, or return falsy value and let other mods work on the original, unmodified message, or resort to double-printing hardcode it's successors (see lower) Seriously, is it so hard to imagine modders co...

Re: Chat CSMs - call to Compatibilty

I think it’s working right that clientmods should be able to block messages coming through to the other ones.
Otherwise they would be double handled and printed double into the chat.
If that doesn’t happen csm just shouldn’t return true on chat message.

It’s basically up to the creator of the mod.

General This Communicator allows you to communicate with other players via mod_channels. Your messages will be encrypted using a password! Also supports transferring via chat but that's not 100% working and annoying to other player on the server Commands Use .c <msg> to write on the "com" channel w...

Re: Minetest for Xbox and IOS?

There is significantly more control over that software ecosystem by Microsoft. I understand there are some similarities but its th...
