Re: Daily Worlds Backups Script

@joe7575 Depending on how long ago you had the 2Gb file size limit, there have been several possible causes of that limit. ⋅ ext3 file size limit, also fat32 and nvfs ⋅ glibc/libc limit on kernels prior to 2.4.0 ⋅ samba was built with 32bit integers ⋅ Nautilu...

Re: [Mod] Hyperloop [hyperloop]

It would be nice if there was a command to fixup the list.... Also it might be nice to make it so that the server won't crash if you delete a junction from a tube created in this way. I fixed the bug in tubelib2 and added the chat command /hyperloop_repair_tubes . The command has no parameters, it ...

Re: [Mod] Hyperloop [hyperloop]

Ah, that explains. It would be nice if there was a command to fixup the list. /fixuphyperlooptupe <coord1> <coord2> or something like that, which would add the linked list info. Yes, I will try that. Also it might be nice to make it so that the server won't crash if you delete a junction from a tub...

Re: [Mod] Hyperloop [hyperloop]

Create long pipe with worldedit set_nodes Now I got it, this will not work. All nodes are connected like a chain (double linked list) by means of node data 'param2'. If you build it by set_nodes, the complete information will be missing. Remove the nodes again and use the WiFi blocks to bridge the ...

Re: [Mod] Hyperloop [hyperloop]

How do you call the elevator if it's at the other end? I tried clicking on the button outside, but the doors remain closed. You first have to open the doors by clicking on them. Then, you can use the button to start the elevator. Also, I created a *long* tube using worldedit, but it won't hook up. ...

Re: Daily Worlds Backups Script

Sorry, this is not a general problem. I executed the following script on my server (Ubuntu Server 18.04) and on my Desktop PC (Xubuntu 18.04) without any issues on both. #!/usr/bin/env bash echo create tar tar -cf test.tar ./world/ echo extract tar mkdir ~/temp/world1 tar -xf test.tar -C ~/temp/worl...

Re: [Mod] Hyperloop [hyperloop]

Hyperloop uses "minetest.get_mod_storage()" to store the station data from time to time. The error occurs in the core function "ModMetadata::save()": bool w_ok = fs::safeWriteToFile( root_path + DIR_DELIM + m_mod_name, fastWriteJson(json)); if (w_ok) { m_modified = false; } else ...

Re: [Mod] Minetest-Tubelib [tubelib]

What if you added a machine that grinds ore lumps into dust, and it needed biofuel to operate? Sorry, I am currently already involved in several developments and improvements of my mods, I have no time to open another site. Maybe you could ask micu (https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&...

Re: Efficient graph based networks (electronics and transpor

Sorry, I was not precise enough. To build a vector based on placed tube nodes, you need information from the mod itself. Otherwise you algorithm coming from the left (green nodes) would probably go onto the blue field instead of the red. https://forum.minetest.net/download/file.php?id=17584

Re: Efficient graph based networks (electronics and transpor

However, to get the full benefit of them, it would probably be better if such algorithms were implemented in the engine. There might even be some C/C++ libraries we can use for that. I don't believe that you can implement that fully in C/C++. To follow parallel lines at least you have to use a LUA ...

Re: [Modpack] TechPack [techpack]

Coming soon: Machines break and need to be repaired! https://forum.minetest.net/download/file.php?id=17804 Machines will break after a while and need a repair kit to work normally again. This should help to keep the industrial plants smaller, the player more busy and the hole game more sophisticate...

Re: [Modpack] TechPack [techpack]

Hi Joe7575! I've created another pull request on Github. I put short description in commit message, this small change affects how Fermenter picks up plant leaves for processing. Instead of trying to get 2 at once (which apparently is done from the same stack only), it takes them one by one. 'for' l...

zu 2) keine Ahnung
zu 3) keine Ahnung
zu 4) Den Port nicht zu öffnen ist sicherer, aber welche Alternative gibt es?

Re: Efficient graph based networks (electronics and transpor

What you just described is known as a linked list where each node in the chain stores a link to the previous and the next node. Yes, but this double linked list is only used for the construction phase, when adding/removing nodes by players. While in operational phase (technique mods moving items/po...

Re: Efficient graph based networks (electronics and transpor

One thing I thought of was to have the player specify the interconnections by placing nodes and then when the connection was complete the logical connection was abstracted out into something like you outlined above. The actual wire / connection nodes would never do the actual "connection"...

Re: Kassenschalter

Mit TechPack gehts natürlich auch: Ein Funnel sammelt die Items auf, ein Pusher gibt sie weiter an einen Distributor, der die Items sortiert und weiter an ein Lager geben kann.
