The idea is nice but finding these doors is very easy way actually. Heh yeah, one could just go around right clicking on walls and they would open - I am actually thinking about allowing to lock them, using different keys (e.g. stone key for the stone door). instead of making textures you should use default textures, so that no matter what texture pack player is using the doors remain hidden: "default_stone.png", "default_cobble.png", "default_stone_brick.png". I did that, but since those textures are made for a single nod...

Thanks, I just thought: if the player is 2 nodes tall let's say that's 2 meters (6 feet); default stairs' steps are half a node, thus 50cm/1.5ft - unrealistic. I think that these steps' size look more realistic.

this has been done before somewhere Could you post a link? Forum search for "stairs [mod]" and Google search for "minetest stairs [mod]" - I've found only: Stairsplus2 , which goes beyond the purpose of overriding the default stairs' shape and doesn't has any preview screenshots...

the script is four years old, maybe it needs some tuning
however, I've posted this to let others know that instead of manually editing their own textures - maybe dozens - they can let their computers do it, for those who would like less flat-like texturing
