When I use OpenGl, it gives me some error about the texture format being unsupported. It never says anything else other than the format being unsupported. I need to use OpenGl because Direct3D doesn't show certain inventory textures. Can someone please help?!?! Are you sure it doesn't say anything ...

There was a patch on the patchsets page for 0.3 which added this and it worked great on my system and a few other peoples but it didn't get merged upstream as It killed performance on older hardware (at least I think thats why celeron didn't merge it)

Um, how exactly is the channel set? Is it by the type of block underneath? I can't get it to work, in 0.5 or git. I'm using the recipes from the first post with the brown checkered pattern boxes, is that right? Yeah the block underneath the transmitter and receiver/inverter is what sets the channel...

Stained glass? Wouldn't that just be crafting glass with a dye and then the output be a color of glass? It isn't that hard to do with lua No because Irrlicht will render it either solid or fully transparent depending on the how high/low the alpha channel is, try it and see what happens. Unless some...

Um how is my world lost? Because 0.4 is unstable so this could be one of the errors with the world part of 0.4 The world isn't lost you just won't be able to load it in older versions of Minetest. A few things changed in the code that made the new world data stuff work differently meaning that beca...

@Raphael works fine for me on with or without RUN_IN_PLACE active, try doing "//p set" then punch 2 nodes then use "//p get" to see if the location params have changed.

theyve tried before and its failed. Actually not correct me and NoHalfMeasures got stained glass working ages ago back on 0.2, but it requires changes to the engine and can't be done just in lua (at least not yet). So basically I don't think a coloured glass mod will be coming any time soon, at lea...

Yeah 0.4 worlds are not backwards compatible with 0.3 as the world data was changed quite a bit in 0.4

You will have to start a new world if you want to play on 0.3.1

Did you get permission from Mojang to use there textures? because I know they have refused a few people in the past who asked if they could do a MC texture pack for Minetest.

Either way nice work ^_^

yes we have our inventory 3x3 and a workbench with 4x4 or more! making us the ultimate crafters! I agree with adding a workbench with a 4x4 (or more) crafting grid, but still think that the inventory grid should be reduced to 2x2 otherwise there really wouldn't be much need for a workbench as most ...

Any news on an update? I'm not waiting for any specific feature was just curious ^_^

By the way, I saw that you had added the //replace command :D excellent! thanks for that, also it might be worth adding the //replace command to the original post. I only noticed it because I saw your commit log lol.

I agree with qyron. I always make mistakes in Minecraft which leads to having to use my tools more and so they break quicker. I think everybody is ignoring a large part of number 3, which is a valid poin - the design of the inventory. Coming from Minecraft I tried to put all my items in the bottom ...

To get MC style beds I think your going to have to wait until Kahrl's new collision system is done and merged upstream.

@XCalibur54 Are you sure your using the latest version? Tooltips where added some time ago with Kahrl's itemdef patch back on the 13th January.

I build from the source but I'm sure celeron55 has released builds since then.

Starting player would join the server, and admins would think about mods and textures. Making everything default is windows-way. lol what? how is adding some mods to the default line-up the "windows-way" lol that doesn't even make sense, I agree when setting up servers admins would customise it wit...

@wokste Keep the balance / gameplay suggestions coming because at the end of the day the more ideas there are for this game the quicker it will evolve. That and you might mention something which is a great idea which no one else had thought about or had overlooked. ^_^

Nice work, although this patch shouldn't require people who just want to play locally (single player) to enter a password me thinks. It's not all that easy to decide. People might start a world in single player mode and then use it for a public server, although one could argue that admins should ju...
