Actually, only two players noticed that something was wrong. By "can be seen" I mean that its adjacent nodes are see-through. So the cave walls will be generated while the bulk will stay consistent until it gets exposed. I think, adding a few numbers to each mapblock won't increase the siz...

Unfortunately, I don't have any accurate data. The amount of players is more or less constant. The size growth is about 3-5 times faster when ores generate properly.

I noticed one thing on my server. While there was a bug which caused the ores not to generate, the world size was increasing way slower. Why not? Imo it'd me much more natural than creating closed up into more or less enclosed circular shapes ends of riverbeds. I do understand that for some reasons this could make shaping of terrain easier, but to achieve really good visual and realistic results the whole process should be done reve...

I'd like to see a framework which plays players musics randomly. And the music should be audible only by the player it is being played to. There could be a function get_music_name(player) which would return the name of music which should be played to the player at that moment and situation.

I'd like that too but keyboard handling in any stable Irrlicht release is just pain. Not to mention that there was no stable release of Irrlicht for three years and last stable release which added a feature is five years old.

I modified the mapgen to generate whole heightmap when the spawnpoint is being searched. The heightmap was generated on my computer using a world with the same seed. In fact, I only used data from mapgen, it doesn't refer to the current state of my world.
