Re: Wooden Bucket [wooden_bucket]

XXX WXW WWW If you weren't sure a quick glance at the mods init.lua file would have told you that... You are right of course. I was in the train on my phone :-) But as there is no conflict with the boat after all I don't understand why Hume2 didn't just copy the recipe for a steel bucket with wood....

Re: Wooden Bucket [wooden_bucket]

the recipe for a boat should maybe change. For now it is the same as a wooden bucket I think?

Re: Does the current Minetest seem too easy?

it still lacks being a game by not even fulfilling the most basic part of being a game: having a goal to achieve due to playing it. I disagree rather strongly with this statement. (I know LinuxDirk won't mind, he said himself he prefers the 'direct' style of communication :-) ) Something doesn't ne...

Re: Does the current Minetest seem too easy?

Or luck.

In my server it took the players about 2 weeks of exploring before they even found 1 diamond ore. (Which is extrene, because in previous servers it was much quicker).

I think he means " just don't convert it, minetest will build a mesh when it loads the nodebox object."

Re: Back and forth movements

I can tell you it still happens on 5.0.0. I'm not sure how anticheat is set currently in my server. I haven't changed it, but I don't know the default setting.

I'll experiment with settings anticheat on and off.

Re: Proposal: Content DB should only accept FOSS

What you say about Shakespeare and classical composers is all true of course. And I'd sort of like to go back to that system somehow, even though it will be a lot harder to make a living as an artist today because copying has become so very easy. Patreon sort of works right now (for some people). Bu...

Re: one world DB, but more mts using ?

I think that will give a totally new feel to the term 'race condition' :-D

Try it! It will probably have loads of bugs, but it's an interesting experiment.

Re: Proposal: Content DB should only accept FOSS

Wuzzy. I agree with you for 99%. Only this food for thought: The way the world works now, we *need* copyright. Or artists/creators have no means of living. When you were a musician in 1800 you got payed to play. If people wanted music, they *needed* to hire a musician (or do it themselves). Nowadays...

Re: [Mod] Hallelujah Mountains [cloudlands]

Ideally the author should provide the unobfuscated source as well. Complete with instructions on how to compile it into the obfuscated source (probably some lua minifier?) . Maybe the author could put the source of the obfuscated part in a zipfile named 'SPOILER-source-of-easter-egg.zip' This way pa...

adding --isoshadeheight <height of the building> probably will give the render nicer colors.

Re: Empire Voxel Building

Which reminds me that I should make the height-shading customizable. Because it looks a bit weird and washes out the high parts of the building in this render.

I'll try to add some settings for that.

Re: Minetestmapper rewritten into C++

/home/gael/Github/minetestmapper/include/BlockDecoder.h:17:56: error: ‘>>’ should be ‘> >’ within a nested template argument list I'll look into it. What system do you try to compile on? My first guess would be an incompatible gcc version. [edit] That was it. It should now compile with gcc v5 or hi...

Re: WIP Mod [Mobs-World] (for mobs redo)

Would it be accepteable That completely depends on the license of the mod you took the files from. I know it's a nuisance and you don't really want to think about it (at least, that's the way it is for me). But alas, there's no way round it. You *have* to read the license of the mod you took the fi...

Re: Give privs programmatically in singleplayer

Also note that to take a priv away, you need to set it to nil (i.e. remove it from the list), not false. (that has bitten me before :-) )

Re: [Android] stu's unofficial android builds [5.0.0-dev]

After you select the setting you then need to click the Edit button. Ah, that does the trick. It's very counter-intuitive though. You'd expect a tap, or maybe long-press, to make it go into edit mode. Also it's extremely hard to hit the + signs with a finger on the touch screen (on an average size ...
