There already is a widely used pipe mod, called "pipeworks." Your mod looks good, but you should justify the need for its existence. It might be better than pipeworks, anyway.

It looks like the code for Eden 2 is deprecated (old and no longer works). Unless most of the code is rewritten, your world cannot be fixed.

Suggestions for Minecraft updates on the Minecraft forums should also be salvaged. Some of them presented good ideas that could be used for Minetest mods and games. Examples of good suggestions include, but are not limited to, a multipart Minetest 2 idea and a fantasy space idea.

It seems that most mod makers are interested in high-tech approach to extending the game. If that is not the game you want, once you get fully equipped with diamond, you might as well restart.
