Can we get your specs?

Have you installed any/many mods or large texture packs?

Finally, go to Minetest's video settings and turn everything off or to the lowest setting possible. From there, work up until you're at an acceptable balance of framerate to appearance.

Sure, any kind of variation among weapons is a welcome addition, I think.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, are you asking for wind? Weather in general would be cool, but I can't see a whole lot of use for wind specifically, unless stuff like sails or windmills were also implemented.

stuff kept killing me, everything distracting me from the actual gameplay. You are aware of the existence of both creative and peaceful modes in minecraft, right? If you consider the building to be the important part of the game, they make it the focus. But I do agree, thank you everyone involved i...

I love the idea. It would add variety to the map, and help make Minetest something more than a direct Minecraft clone (perhaps that's what you want, but I'd rather see this game take on its own direction). My point is that slabs go against the voxel idea, which is one of the main aspects of Minetest...

Regardless of what language is used, Minecraft has some rather shoddy programming contained in it. An easy example is its chunk generation, which is the reason it has such a tiny height limit. Mods exist which make it use cubic chunk generation instead, and suddenly it can support 64000+ layers, muc...

Yep, that was it! I hadn't renamed that folder correctly. Thank you, and I apologize for my stupidity.

4.5 not recognizing mods

I'm having issues getting mods on version 0.4.5 to work (specifically technic, but I've noticed it with other mods I've tried as well). I'm positive I've placed the mods in the correct folder (/mods/minetest), but they don't appear ingame, and I'm not seeing any type of error in debug.txt. The stran...
