I have to think that more players is not a problem so long as they are well behaved...Though at some point I have to assume that lag would start entering in. I know that during the many occasions I am the only one on the machine it doesn't behave much different than the rare occasions when there are...

Zafrell, Coffee is correct, stick with a rev prior to 4.8 and you will have little problems.

EDIT: I mean, on the redcrab site, of course. Other actively upgraded sites will naturally benefit from the more late model clients.

I coded hard-core full-time for about ten years, mostly assembly language, micro-coding, and an untold number of dialects of "everybody's BASIC" pre-1988...at that point migrated to UNIX scripting, SQL, and started into ANSI C at which point I decided I wasn't going to learn any more 6000+...
