You can also use PortMapper to open up the port if changing the firewall isn't enough. It helped me in the recent case.

I don't know.. but.... maybe it's the autosaving mod? Try removing that, and see whether it starts.

Whenever I have issues, I just check which mod is causing the problem.

My Intel integrated GPU 940g ran this game over 30+ FPS.....

You should be fine with any GPU newer than that...

Idea. Maybe make a bit more... realistic version of a freezer? That actually take time like a furnace for example. 30 seconds to freeze the water in the bucket each. Something like that.
