There is an assumption in the Minetest community that all mods are supposed to be an extension of MTG. And, whether intentional or not, I think that does inherently limit the scope of Minetest as an engine. Iirc, mods weren't added until version 3.X, so it's easy to see where this assumption comes ...

Looks like an actual unique game made using Minetest as the engine! Looking forward to trying this out!

It's a nice server, quite challenging and unforgiving!
Takes a while to load first time, because it's on the heavy side, media-wise, but I would say it's worth it.
