Just noticed that you can't ping the website. I guess someone forgot to pay the monthly bill.

Re: [Server] Capture the Flag Server (Guns!) - Multiple maps

There should be an underground map that has no caves except for just the space needed for the base.

Re: Server Perfomance

Server hardware isn't everything. If you have 100 players at spawn, each individual player will have player information transmitted to them about the other 99 players. That's a lot of bandwidth for the clients!

I'm connecting from another machine, and put the hostname in the address field. Port on the server is 30001, so that's what I use in the port field on the client.

I used the hostname of the machine. Then I tried the IPv6 address (There ain't no IPv4 address anymore)

Can't connect to Minetest server on LAN

I'm running a Minetest LAN server on a Linux machine. I haven't run it since February. Tried today, and it starts fine, but I time out when I try to connect. I can connect to that Linux machine in any other way (ssh, http, nfs, etc).

Minetest mods in Debian packaging system

I've noticed that some Minetest mods are making it to the Debian packaging system. Is it better to use these, or to just do it the old way?

Re: Collision cart with player damage

As for server lag, adding collision probably wouldn't make it much worse. The cart movement probably takes more processing power than collision would. But boost_cart is very efficient, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. I was thinking more of the fact that with server lag, you might be crashi...

Re: Is the community decreased?

I don`t think it may influence to popularity somehow. Though can they move to other servers? When we lose our favorite server, we don't really feel like joining a different one. Nothing quite fits the way the server that went down did. I felt this when HOMETOWN was down for a month. Even after it c...

Collision cart with player damage

Can someone make a cart that doesn't go through other carts? And maybe the player should receive damage just like in a real crash. Just an idea, as I can see this kind of thing becoming a big mess when server lag comes into play.

You'll need to blacklist VPN's to combat this. https://github.com/doyousketch2/VPN_blocklist The wo...

Re: [Server] HOMETOWN

We have a map that seems good enough. Kibbie and I have been freeing up "that land" surrounding spawn. Although this doesn't mean there will be a land rush. It will be released in time if available. We don't want just anyone digging up or building anything too strange so close to spawn. S...

Is the HOMETOWN server back up yet (I don't mean the Minetest server that we play on, I mean the actual hardware/VM)? Survival X was up when I checked a few minutes ago. Pinged it and 100% packet loss, so I guess not. That won't answer the question. For the past week or so, the server's been runnin...

Exeter was having a problem with Linux using the hometown IP with Survival X it made both servers linked for some reason It wasn't Linux's fault.
