Re: [Mod] Forest
It is a problem of Minetest versions. I've created this mod on February-March-April, the lastest Minetest was 0.4.9. Now it's 0.4.10, the syntax of this function has changed. It's not a bug, it means "Warning : in the followings versions of Minetest, the support for this syntax will be removed.

A sandy beach ? Sorry, I don't understand. Are you sure that you post your reply at the good place ?
You can try the mapgen "flatmountains.lua", it sometimes generate beaches on the seashore.

[Mod] Map Generation Library [mapgen_lib]
This mod is still experimental and unstable. By creating Forest , I've realised that making a map generator by the Lua VM is a complex work. But I think it could be made easier, especially the PerlinNoiseMaps. This mod adds lua functions about map generation, for example a method of VoxelAreas which...

Problems with the Minetest Mod Database
When I open Minetest and I go to Minetest Mod Database, some mods are locked, especially in the lastest pages. On these mods, there is only the name of the mod ; no picture, no description, and no "Install" button, and rating on -1. Is it as it on every computers or is it only me who has n...

Re: [Mod] Forest
I've tried to understand for months, to no avail.
But today, I found a good tutorial, and I finally managed to push Forest 1.2 in my repo !
When we really need something, we understand better.

Re: [Mod] Forest
Actually, I've changed my project. I work on a "mapgen library", a mod which adds features for the map generation. I will post a new topic on it.

Re: [Mod] Forest
Could you let others fork it and continue work on it? Yes, you can continue my work, I have not really the sense of property, my aim is to improve Minetest and not to get a reputation for some things that I have made myself. I think Minetest has a big potential but it is still not completely exploi...

Re: Defining the costs of items (currency mod)
Abstract currency has no real intrinsic value. […] money is abstract and has no real root in the game world. I think this is not completely abstract, because for Casimir and DanDuncombe's mod, we get 5 MineGeld per Minetest day. Oddly, it's written 1 MG/day here . I think it's an error because I've...

Defining the costs of items (currency mod)
Some servers, for example VanessaE's Vanilla, in which I play, uses Dan Duncombe and Casimir's Currency mod . But, it's not easy to define a price for each item. There is a draft of it here , but it's not complete enough, there are only the ores and the metals. I would like to talk about this for ot...

Take your time, I don't really need this map, it was just an observation.
When I evoke desert cobblestone, it is not only default:desert_cobble, but also stairs:stair_desert_cobble and stairs:slab_desert_cobble.

Pour faire l'encadré, ajouter ceci : {{Block Data | image=chest_lock.png | block_name=Locked Chest | generated=No | renewable=No|itemstring=default:chest_locked}} Je vous con...

Re: [Server] VanessaE's Mostly-Vanilla Minetest Server [git]
I've made numerous ways, in cobblestone and in desert cobblestone, but desert cobblestone don't appear on the map, so several ways are nearly invisible.
Is it possible to solve this problem ?

Re: Color problem with minetest-mapper
I've reinstalled minetest mapper from the repository, and now I've got a blank map, and all of the nodes in the map are listed as unknown nodes. I don't understand anything : all are listed in the colors.txt file.

Re: Color problem with minetest-mapper
Make sure you do not have any colors.txt file in the directory minetestmapper is run in. do NOT have ?? I think I've misunderstood something. I've put minetestmapper in the folder /home/gael/.minetest/mapper (I'm on Linux) and I've build it from this directory. If I run the unix command ls I get : ...

[SOLVED]Color problem with minetest-mapper
I've tried to use minetest-mapper. I've got a map, but some details were absent. I've downloaded VanessaE's colors.txt to replace the default one. Here is the command and the result : gael@gael-23-b109ef:~$ /home/gael/.minetest/mapper/minetest_mapper -i /home/gael/.minetest/worlds/mgindev -o /home/g...
