Re: Do you think Mapgen V6 is the comfiest of all mapgens?
This is beautiful, but is it possible to use it Only for mgv6 features only?, also compared to other mapgen, how fast was it? Well, terrainbrot wasn't designed to imitate v6 or v7 mapgen but I imagine that coordinate noise can be used to achieve that. The speed of terrainbrot isn't much worse than ...

Re: Do you think Mapgen V6 is the comfiest of all mapgens?
It is possible to transform the x/z coordinates by Perlin noise to different coordinates. I call this coordinate noise. After that, it can happen that features from both v6 and v7 appear in a single world. The coordinate noise changes somewhere slowly and somewhere rapidly. When the coordinate noise...

Re: I made the mistake of checking out Roblox
I see another problem: The lack of aim. Each developer claims that Minetest is supposed to be something else. Some devs claim that MTG isn't important at all and only the modding base matters, some devs claim that MTG is supposed to be playable but there is no time to do so. Next thing is the lack o...

Re: [Mod] Magic Potions [magic_potions]
Thanks! I will consider your suggestions. Regarding The fly potion should work in water too I don't know whether it's possible. Currently I'm setting player physics and decreasing gravity. It's not possible. The water physics works regardless of gravity, it has been discussed here: https://github.c...

Re: [Mod] Digtron tunnel boring/building machine [digtron]
Nice mod!
I have a feature request for you: digtron seats
It's annoying that the digtron sometimes leaves the player on the ground. A player could sit into the seat and then he would be moved together with the digtron as long as he would be sitting in it.

Thanks for your levels and criticism! - After you pushed a box, it flashes briefly I will look if anything can be done with that. Currently, the entity is spawned in the same function as the node is changed. - There's a strange selection box around you during the entire game. Very annoying I already...

Re: Why are the proprietary ad-infested Android forks tolera
I'm not seeing how exactly this will help unless all mods are going to use the AGPL license. I was reading the AGPL license and it says only that the mod must be released, not necessarily all mods on the server. Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Remaking Classical Games in 3D
As you might have noticed, I remade the game Box World in 3D here: https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=24215 The point of this is showing how games will work when you add another dimension. I made a nice framework for that: Level API shows you the next level after you finish the curr...

[Game] Box World 3D [1.-1]
Box World 3D I remade the game Box World in 3D using Minetest engine. https://forum.minetest.net/download/file.php?mode=view&id=21181&sid=6375e7ecc11c503667cef4bc6823faf7 This is a really simple game: You push boxes by walking into them. You can't push more than one box at once. Your task i...

[Mod] Level API [1.0][level]
This mod is simple. A level is a worldedit schematic with some metadata. The level can be loaded or restarted using lua commands. The mod as such is unplayable, it is designed to be a library for a game. In creative mode, you can also create custom levels. The game can also store its own data like h...

[Mod] Discrete Player API [1.0][discrete_player]
Hello everyone! I had an idea of re-creating classical platform games in 3D using Minetest. There were many games in which the player moves in a grid and performs some kind of actions. This API attaches the player to an entity which performs discrete moves along the node grid. There is an animation ...
