Re: Time to change forums to Flarum?
Okay, but the process to deal with spam / moving / deleting threads is not great / could definitely be improve Open an issue on github, if more people are missing those features then I'm sure someone will provide a PR. That's the power of Open Source ;-) In theory, someone could open an issue on Fl...

Re: Anyone wanna help with an idea (yep its another fork)
Minetest itself is pretty much a dead end, this is nothing new NO, look at the new shadow thing. Minetest may be dying, but never dead. I think PolySaken means that Minetest is not really forkable, and is a dead-end, due to the fact that the project has so much specialized engine material. Minetest...

Re: Time to change forums to Flarum?
Flarum is open source, so its not like you couldn't see the Javascript that is built into the project on GitHub. And the admin staff here wouldn't put tracking on it anyway.
Regardless, the forum should move from phpBB to something better, as mod tasks are incredibly annoying to operate.

Re: Expired certificate on Minetest Developer wiki
To be honest, if c55 just set up https://dev.minetest.net to redirect to https://minetest.gitlab.io/minetest/, I think most people would be happier... :P

Re: Anyone wanna help with an idea (yep its another fork)
Compatibility with minetest would be very useful in that sort of project, especially if it extends to the whole game<mod<texturepack hierarchy, because it prepopulates content rather than starting with none. I would be careful, as that is a fairly limiting proposal. Alternatively, I would suggest h...

That's what the Minetest-related-projects section is for, if you feel the need to be appropriately on-topic.

Re: Anyone wanna help with an idea (yep its another fork)
So many things are ingrained toward creating MTG derivatives and clones that I'd basically have to rewrite the entire codebase, and at that point I'd rather just create an entirely new but related project (that has been a plan of mine for years, but it's not a thing I can just do on a whim). That's...

Re: Expired certificate on Minetest Developer wiki
I've already attempted to notify the moderator staff about this. A possibly helpful response I got from one of the developers was "don't use the site its horribly outdated, use https://minetest.gitlab.io/minetest/ instead as it is more up-to-date. I personally think this is a limited and stupid...

Re: [Request] Discord support
Let people have the things that they want if they want. Minetest is an open platform, meaning that people should be able to do whatever they want with it, including infect it. Just provided it doesn't get in the way of others.
So if someone wants it, they can and should implement it using a mod.

The attention to detail is quite nice on these structures. I never was a fan of the non 90 angular blocks in a Minetest world, but they work really well.

Nice touch with falling water. I wonder how the bridge looks at night. Yeah, I am pretty happy with this building, I think its one of the best ones I've made. I think there's some more small details to add, but this is good for now. The bridge in particular was inspired by whale ribs, which was fun...

I also approve of being able to manipulate this. The latter two do look much better to me. It is just a post-processing effect, so it shouldn't be too hard to implement, even dirtily, I'm sure.

Re: JavaScript for moddding
MS currently makes Github slightly incompatible to the outside world using bullshit reasons for justification . I think it is important to clarify this "bullshit reason" is that 'main' is more translatable to more languages and is promoting an anti-racist rhetoric and takes less than 3 mi...

Re: JavaScript for moddding
They could (and eventually will) re-license it to a proprietary license. I wonder even if a community will be able to support V8 engine when Google will drop it's support as it dropped a support for a lots of another projects. I disagree that they will re-license it. I think TypeScript, like many o...

Re: JavaScript for moddding
More than JavaScript, TypeScript would be a lot better. Why would anyone use a stand-alone Microsoft scripting language for embedded scripting of free software? Because Typescript is licensed under Apache License 2.0 and it makes writing bad JavaScript code harder. And because it is a superset of J...

does replacing the env_meta.txt from a working similar setup help?

or just delete it as suggested here
