Did you perhaps extract dreambuilder_game in your minetest/mods instead of in the minetest/games folder?

The 'Trying to store.. etc.' error is nothing to worry about. When there are more than 49 entities active in a block that gets inactive (when you move away from it), Minetest can't 'store' them in memory, to bring them back when you reactivate that block (probably not 100% technically ok explanation).

i didnt do dreambuilder in mods but its weird you mentioned because I did just download and try dream builder but get an error ...dreambuilder/mods/default/int.lua check debug. Im going to delete dreambuilder and redo the game entirely I am also getting engine fail errors and when server does start after few minutes screen just goes grey. I have played on other servers and runs fine with exception of the engine error and grey screen

The grey screen might be 'lag'. In this case textures (screen) not rendering because your graphic card/cpu has difficulties computing them (agian, not 100% sure if this is the only/right explanation).

From looking at the log file, you're trying to start minetest_game instead of the dreambuilder game. Did you create a new world after you installed dreambuilder, or trying it on an existing world? It's trying to load 2 mods with the same name, that being farming, and the log is pointing to minetest_game/mods/farming.
No trees or animals were hurt in the production of this message. However, a large number of Electrons were temporarily inconvenienced.

I have farming and farming plus but not doubled. I deleted then reinstalled added few mods now I have different errors on top of that

in game chat message shows
ERROR {main}: client enviroment:process active object message(): ID=1(also showing =256) type=e serialization error in process message(), message = ""

then not long after the game just shuts down giving me either
ERROR: some exception "bad allocation"
or
windows box minetest engine core main application has stopped working

please note that when I originally started I just played the original game or server all this started when I tried to do a server and/or mods

at this point I cant really even play because every 10-15 minutes my game shuts off

the same happened to my friend who was trying to host the server the game is unplayable

I guess I will go back to original game and slowly add 1 mod at a time see if I can pinpoint if a mod is bad

wait i just was goofing looking for other things to list and noticed that say i have farming under mods right? now under the minetest game (which I assume I load?) has another file called mods and farming is in there. could this be it??

Some representations of possible folder structures you might want to compare. Mind that, depending on your installation type, some content might be in a hidden /.minetest folder or in some /shared folder

a fresh run-in-place installation before any "singleplayer" map is created may look simillar to this:

Code: Select all
minetest/
├── bin/
├── builtin/
├── client/
│   ├── serverlist/
│   └── shaders/
│       ├── alpha_shader/
│       ├── leaves_shader/
│       ├── liquids_shader/
│       ├── plants_shader/
│       └── solids_shader/
├── doc/
├── fonts/
├── games/
│   ├── minetest_game/
│   └── minimal/
├── locale/
│   └── (lots of language folders)
├── mods/
├── testsounds/
└── textures/
    └── base/
        └── pack/

File structure with the folders Minetest adds after some usage as client and server, as well as the positions (...) that custom made content goes.

Code: Select all
minetest/
├── bin/
├── builtin/
├── cache/
│   ├── media/
│   └── tmp/
├── client/
│   ├── serverlist/
│   └── shaders/
│       ├── alpha_shader/
│       ├── leaves_shader/
│       ├── liquids_shader/
│       ├── plants_shader/
│       └── solids_shader/
├── doc/
├── fonts/
├── games/
│   ├── minetest_game/
│   ├── minimal/
│   └── ... (installed extra games)
├── locale/ (lots of language folders)
├── mods/
│   └── ... (installed extra mods and modpacks)
├── testsounds/ (soundpack folder)
├── textures/
│   ├── base/
│   │   └── pack/
│   └── ... (installed extra texturepacks)
└── worlds/
└── ... (saved worlds. Some with exclusive world mods)

and here details of folder structures within a game.
This example has the default games "minetest_game" and "minimal" installed and shows a possible structure of an own game in "my_game":

Code: Select all
    games/
    ├── minetest_game/
    │   ├── game.conf
    │   ├── README.txt
    │   ├── menu/
    │   │   ├── header.png
    │   │   └── icon.png
    │   └── mods/
    │       ├── some mod
    │       ├── some other mod
    │       └── ...
    ├── minimal/
    │   ├── game.conf
    │   ├── menu/
    │   │   ├── background.png
    │   │   ├── icon.png
    │   │   └── ...
    │   └── mods/
    │       ├── some mod
    │       ├── some other mod
    │       └── ...
    ├── my_game/
    │   ├── game.conf
    │   ├── minetest.conf
    │   ├── README.txt
    │   ├── license.txt
    │   ├── menu/
    │   │   ├── background.png
    │   │   ├── footer.png
    │   │   ├── header.png
    │   │   ├── icon.png
    │   │   ├── overlay.png
    │   │   └── ...
    │   └── mods/
    │       ├── license.txt
    │       ├── some mod
    │       ├── some other mod
    │       └── ...
    └── some more games

As one can see mods may be found in:
  • minetest/mods/...(globally available for any map)
    or
  • minetest/games/(somegame)/mods/..(available for any map made with this game)
    and
  • minetest/worlds/(someworldormap)/worldmods/mods/..(only available for this specific map)
and so it is quite easy that mods may clash. It might be advisable to organize the mods present on a public server map in an own game. Some of the Minetest subgames have indeed started as mod collections on a public server.

Most examples may be also viewed on the wiki

There is a difference between minetest/games and minetest/mods:

minetest/games
Under minetest/games you ought to install the games. Games as are presented on the forum under the games section. Games are a collection of mods and modpacks that form a theme for the the game as a whole. An example of such a game is VanessaE's dreambuilder. Sometimes those games are still under modding general when they are not completed/finished enough.

Always installed under minetestgames is the game called 'minimal'. You can play minetest with it, but it's limited.

When building minetest it's almost standard to build in under minetest/games 'minetest_game'. This is what most players call 'minetest' and is also known as 'vanilla'. It is a collection of mods that serve as a base to start playing minetest.

The selection of which game to play is when you press 'new' in the minetest (singleplayer) menu and then go to 'Game'

minetest/mods
Under this directory/folder you can extract as many mods and modpacks as you like. Modpacks are collections of mods, bundeled together because they form a certain theme for a part of the game. For mods it's important to use the proper name or they don't work.

The selection of which mod to use is when you press 'configure' in the minetest (singleplayer) menu, then click the mod and 'check' the 'enabled'-field (turning them green). Under 'Depends: you can see what other mods need to be installed to let it work.

The mods that are dark_blue are already enabled and can't be turned off. Those are the mods from the 'game' you choose to play with.

So games > modpacks > mods and to get back to your problems:
- when a mod is present under minetest/games (dark-blue) and under minetest/mods the one under minetest/mods will be taken (override the one from minetest/games).
- when a mod is present under minetest/games (dark-blue) and under minetest/mods, but in a modpack, the one under minetest/games will be taken (override the one from minetest/mods that's in a modpack).

There are more variations possible (giving headaches), so just only put in your mods folder the mods you actually are planning to use. For 'stocking' your collection of mods just create a directory/folder somewhere else on your computer.

ok so the fact that one over writes the other answers my question as far as was stated there was 2 farmiong mods running where one was in mods like they go and one was under games as a base play
