Lag01, could you please add mobs redo here or then just more underground monsters (missing lava flan, dungeon master, spider, mese monster...) as your world is stone or even add those mobs on the surface?

Something weird is going on. When I log on I don't always go back to where I was when I logged off and most of what I have just built is deleted. My inventory goes back to what it was earlier too. I just lost around 150 dirt due to this bug and that dirt was a gift :(

Map database was broken during last save, i will restore what can be restored.
It is not very good if players.sqlite also are damaged, that means i will learn even more about sqlite today.

Reason for broken database was me not knowing how exactly systemd works.
I was expecting, "Conflicts=" to fully stop conflicting service before running next one, but i was wrong.
So i copied database while it was still opened by Minetest.

Damage to recent player work is considerable i guess,
but at least i added workaround to avoid this problem in future.

Here my current service and backup script: RAMDISK_setup

Are there any other servers like this out there which are already in a stable condition? I love how hard it is, like how dirt is as valuable as diamonds, etc., but I don't like (1) the feeling that I'm an alpha tester; (2) the possibility of losing all of my in-game work and stuff at any moment; or (3) the messed-up terrain. (I'm not mentioning the defunct textures, because I assume they're only temporary.)

New portal doesn't work. Grey things fly, but mese don't fly. Lag, try to make portal and test it.

A few days ago I used another players portals to travel to the underworld and back. Since then I have built 2 portals which charged and said they were ready but didn't actually work (no items of any kind within 1.7m).

Today I tried a few portals that belong to other players and they wouldn't transport me either.

Normal teleport pads don't seem to work all of the time either now.

Logged in today for the for the first time since Spring of 2017! (Yes, I've been on since then, but only to see who was there) Didn't know the stone monsters, or mummies, were so huge!

Commercial Hacked Client

I had a good laugh today playing Minetest.

Someone logged into the JustTest server and announced that he/she was using a commercial hacker client.
(I will not mention the name of that client.) I assume it was the creator of the client trying to drum up sales.

Very quickly, I saw that the player got caught twice by the noclip anti-cheat and once by the dig anti-cheat.
The player then logged out.

I can't remember but doesn't the noclip anti-cheat cause players to die and lose their carried items?

So much for the abilities of that hacker client :D

Portals

Portals don't seem to work consistently. Old ones (from before the server shut down for a long time) and new ones recently built.

I can stand near them for a long time, hit them, jump up and down, etc, and nothing happens.
Later I can stand still for a few seconds opening a chest and suddenly be 'ported away. This is on the same portal.

Placing a torch inside a portal does not disable the portal.

talamh - Nice map. Thanks for posting it.

Lag - The server is unplayable tonight. Extreme lag 10 seconds or more and frequent disconnects.

Are they promoting griefers and cheaters? They did that on the old JT once, and it was horrible.
