Re: Amhi
IRC was kicked by Inchranet Services due to the spamming. If the server shutdown it was probably related to a mod that was being used to crash it.

Re: Amhi
Heh.... I knew some wouldn't use their common sense. @everamzah Imma leave this one up to you. I don't recall there being a rule about this on the server.

Re: Amhi
There are some rules about building on top of other buildings, however, building below spawn as long as it won't cause a massive fps drop or lag (with lava, etc) is kind of allowed. I will check the situation later.

Re: Amhi
Ok. I have it protected from the base to y=xxx (not disclosing the end point but it is triple digits).

Re: Amhi
heh. I'm about ready to force client version checking. Only downside is it will block android users unless they are running a 0.4.14 build. Wayyyy too many hacked clients.
Re: Amhi
Ingame name is fredblock. I only get on every few weeks. And yes it looks like someone managed to flood though my protectors. I thought i protected the area around it. Now I guess open land is not possible on this server. Going to have to move all my stuff now.
Thanks Kisulya for wasting a weekend of play on moving my blocks.

Re: Amhi
That sounds a great idea, as long as its a version i can download from minetest.net I never like to download from 3rd party websitesDI3HARD139 wrote:heh. Re: Amhi
I think modified clients can assume any protocol version, so that shouldn't deter them. I think strict_protocol_version_checking is a good thing, in principal, and have often wondered why it's not on by default. It just makes sense, in order to encourage players to find a recent Minetest if they want to play on a particular online server.

Re: Amhi
I'll look into enabling it for testing and report results. | I don't recall banning coco1 but I know he/she has supposedly been causing problems.

Re: Amhi
"strict_protocol_version_checking = true" is now live. If I see a cut in players over the next few days or issues aren't corrected then I will disable it.
Edit: Disabled due to server being a dev build which was causing Release builds to be blocked.

Re: Amhi
Numerous reports of him and his friend uranium doing some nasty stuff. Spotted them both killing people and placing a bunch of TnT and protectors near houses. I also have been suggested they had fly, but without the priv, which was fishy.miloszs wrote:why coco1 got ban?
