maikerumine, is it possible for you to make an "announcement board" of sorts at or near spawn? Just a board (I suggest 7x7, or 1 "wall" of a protection) that players can edit the signs to advertise shops, land/houses for sale, special things, etc. Or would it be more appropriate to post such things here? I don't know how you would make it that we could edit, but not take, but this is just a suggestion.

Interesting, I've reconnected and now I see that gamma is different and interface looks different, if you look in chests.

Nope, that doesnt seem to work at all on my machine. I have to monitor the server list periodically and ask the wife to do a restart.
This weekend I am going to run a test server to finally iron out all the bugs.
It seems it crashes randomly, different mods may act up, but not all of the time. I am VERY close to running a 0.4.10 server and removing the villages (incompatible in current state) and going from there.

I spend more flippin time debugging, and code hacking than I'd like to, in fact, I just want to play the server and see how far I can go.

I do know this: The server caused errors on Many different mods:
fishing, armor, inventory plus,mg_villages, pathv6alt, [mobs all together], craft guide, and even protector--- BUT they all work perfectly together, it seems as if maybe my current build may be buggy...

I really will figure out this mess.

I may just release the game with all the mods, and run the server with less mods and on 4.10. who knows..

What is your OS? I believe both linux and windows has capability to restart things, for windows there is simple programs to restart.

AS400

Just kidding.

Win 8.1
The server restart program does not detect the crash for some reason.

Win 8.1
I found this link on some geek site, could help, check it for viruses (etc) before executing: http://w-shadow.com/blog/2009/03/04/restart-on-crash/
Also, do you sell "Desert Stone" and "Desert Cobblestone", it looks like there is no way to make it.

That is the one I tried. I mist be doing something incorrect.

There is a very tall mountain to the north, it is full of it. ;-)
Also I made a crafting. Recipe where you add red dye to stone but it is broken I think.

Running as service may be best option i think. Services have some "Recovery" options, so no need to write your own script.

Thanks for the input. I don't personally think it too loud maybe I can pull up audacity and lower db by 10.
Crashing.
The server is sad it crashes so much. Need to stabilize before release of game. Maybe too many writes to disk? Server always full. Always.

Server down for ISP maintenance.
Will be up in a few hours folks, sorry for the inconvenience.

I am hoping the increased bandwidth fixes the server lag and crashes, if this works we will resume operation and the motd shall be updated too.

Fixer, I am trying to make a auto reset for some reason the program doesn't detect crash.

Hm, I wanted to try the server out, but do get an "invalid password" message. I'm not sure if I've joined your server once already. Could you check and change the PW? Thank you in advance!

Try to use windows service infrastructure, it can restart when crashed.

I am very depressed about tho month long fiasco. All I wanted was to share my game with the community and it has,is,and always will be trouble.

Countless hours have been sucked out of my life and the result has been failure.

I will resume service when back home.
I will try to enable wi does services to help with restart.

This is exhausting.

I have seen this error before with inventory plus, I wonder if there is a problem there. The server also crashes at other intervals and different actions, but it is random and not easy to replicate.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
