Although one thing that I don't like is how such people get mentioned everywhere in the most shameful ways in their absence. H4X3Rs are indeed annoying though

ABJ, please don't talk if you don't know, I have experience in Minetest, and in moderation and administration, in fact, this guy is harmless aside from the fact that he cheats in every way possible. As an "example", I know he from Amhi, where I was an admin until it closed, he is a nice guy, never harmed anybody. Even recognized me when he saw that I was playing, and acted friendly (even though I baned him from Amhi).

Cheating is bad, the person itself doesn't needs to be like that. But if you go against the rules, prepare for the consequences.

I noticed that "Spawnkill problem" we just couldn't survive, everybody else were idiots and didn't even help us out!!!!
I'm the TailsTMM of minetest, in other words, i rock.

BTW it means TailsTheMeseMinecart, but that isn't my name, it's just a way of saying that i basically do the same thing Dantdm does but i do it with minetest And you problably can't see the invisible ink.

*Ahem* I find that warning rather bizarre. I mean, he didn't even say a team name. Is he very rude in game or what?

Has been suggested before, and it would be good if the game was only day. But at night no one can see each other and that crashes the balance to madness. That and the superbly minimal yet superbly maximal problem of knowing who you're looking for, but that can always be solved by having a gameplay style where teams are more visibly separate, in chat, and in showing nametags and other aspects.

A new map using mgv7 has been added!

Two foresty jungle islands separated by a body of water. Lots of cover.

  1. 1 captured flag for new map is not enough, what about 10 flags, it makes much fun to play with great bases and time to mine
  2. how about an afk kick, like
    • <player1>/afkkick player2
    • if if player2 doesnt press any buttons for 30 seconds, he/she gets kicked
  3. playernames should be coloured
  4. players with flag should wear the flag at skin or something like that, so everybody sees the flag

1. On to-do list, but will be 2/3 flags
2. Already exists as afkkick mod, will maybe make delay shorter
3. I did this originally but removed due to feedback
4. Good idea, will add to todo list

Every serious ctf game ( from clasic shooters like quake to open source games like assault cube or voxel game open spades) has hidden names so you cant see where players are until you have direct line of sight. How about give it a try and see what happens.

New server!
Calinou has kindly offered to host ctf. The new machine is much faster than the old machine. You should notice less lag.

I really like this server, but it seems to be populated almost entirely by children now. Makes it real hard to actually work together and most people just stand and build random things, or hoards all the swords. I miss the good old days.

i have a custom texture pack that is for a scifi feel to this server

and on the skins i made the uniforms but i did not make the really cool hd faces

and btw i agree that usernames shouldnt be seen through blocks as it nullifies the new "cover" for sneaking around, and stealth would be good for this game

The subgame includes it. Look at the seed and mapgen settings, including in default mapgen.lua

Players need to spawn away from the flag. It is annoying to run back to base and be killed because the afk retards are blocking your own flag.
