That would induce lag, compared to a simple HUD tint. Also, it'll look bizarre to those who are far away from the blast...

He already stopped using pictures when not necessary. Also he is now resizing pictures. Don't bring this up again.
About your "volumetric smoke" : not a good idea, as players couldn't place blocks in the smoke area anymore due to engine limitations.
This could be solved, but only in a very hacky way - by giving the smoke nodes a nodebox which is like 1000 blocks left from the nodes original position, and then placing them 1000 nodes left, but then they won't be seen, probably - due to viewing range.

IMO, the best solution so far is to use both; a (light) hud overlay and (very dark and very big) particles.
So your smoke overlay wouldn't always look the same, but would depend on which particles you are seeing - as in real life...
If you, however, hate particles, you could also attempt to randomize the HUD overlay by adding noise, using MT texture modifiers...

I don't hate particles, they just won't look like smoke, and yes we would need engine support for smoke to make effective smok .bombs

Your wrong, if the node generated was a type of air with a foggy tint you could build inside that area, just like default air...

Well but then you could replace the smoke by building blocks like : place torch - dig torch - smoke away !
Also, it doesn't look good...

- Players can parkour
- Players can Use such guns to Get a beautiful FPS Tactic in city map
- And Seriously Fun
Buildings could be made with cobblestone / SandStoneBricks and glass...... wood too.........

CESTRayCRYSTALwZ: There's already a city map submission. The only issue is that there are no flags at all, and the author has been requested to add the flags. Apart from that, the map is quite enjoyable and requires a style of gameplay different from all the other maps.

i think that i saw an Shirkens mod..... in a day...... ( in an android version of MT )
If City map get added and if We can find shirkens in chests at this map....... This could be amazing..... imagine if You jump from house to house then Someone try to catch you
- you jump
- you Throw shirkens
- and you gets your kill and Fall in water

What if that was possible, but there was a 60-70% chance that you immediately DIE if you try? And after 1 successful item steal, for whomever stole the item, they have to wait to steal again, otherwise they always die trying?
What is SCP-055 again? I forgot.
