Attention fellow players:
Henceforth, this server will only allow Minetest clients that are 0.4.16 or later. Those with older clients will be kicked immediately with a message that encourages them to upgrade their client to 0.4.16. This is because some of the recent changes to this server aren't compatible with older versions of MT (e.g. hidden player name-tags don't work with 0.4.13), and the infamous sneak-glitch on clients upto 0.4.15.

This essentially means that a large chunk of our user-base needs to upgrade in order to play on this server - numerous 'pros' use 0.4.14/15 for their sneak-jump capabilities. Hoping to see the all the players (those who had older clients) back again, without skimping out on the upgrade... good luck!

i wish pros were spread out more evenly, i have terrible luck and almost always am the only pro on my team vs a bunch of other pros :/

At present, team balance is very inconsistent. If a pro is unlucky enough to be alone against 5+ pros, all he / she can do is just sit back, go on a mining expedition, or just mine air blocks :P

It's getting rarer and rarer to have well-balanced teams, but if I remember correctly, rubenwardy has that issue on high priority. We'll just have to wait and watch...

Stix: What makes you think I want the throne? I'm just playing to have fun, and as a result of playing at least 3 hours everyday, I'm rank 1, dat's it... :)

BTW, did you notice the margin by which rank 1 is ahead of rank 2? You might even get to rank 2, but rank 1 is gonna take many more years :P

PETE - this is not about 0.4.13 being better than 0.4.16 (which it's not :P), but rather about 0.4.13 being incompatible with a major portion of the CTF sub-game. rubenwardy implemented this check to "level the playing field" (or playing cavern), so to say.

That was a general statement though - If the 'Art of divide and conquer' works, then great - but if it doesn't? We can only sit and watch (or mine air blocks :P), if the numerous pros on the other side keep sticking close to each other.

Removing unfair advantages provided by older clients is also on purpose.
Just realize how bored we would be if the world was perfect.

Some interesting stat: the average points per kill. I was quite surprised to see that the best is Valeria.

Seems like I play as a noob so much -_-
I need to capture more to get more points to kill.

Wow - these are very interesting stats indeed! :)

This proves that there's no one true top-'n' list, and different players come up on top, based on the sorting criteria used (e.g. Score, K/D, avg. pts. / kill, etc.) Thank you for this valuable insight.

BTW, 3 new maps uploaded since u last saw... :)

No, this means that you have a more careful strategy, because your K/D is quite high. loulicats and valeria are daredevils, they kill better opponents at the cost of a lower K/D. It's interesting because it reveals the different strategies of the players.
Just realize how bored we would be if the world was perfect.

Very, very true - your stats offer many new fresh perspective into the strategies of the players concerned. loulicats and valeria don't care about their K/D and just keep attacking with anything they get (esp. loulicats), while Enrico is relatively more cautious, and waits in the shadows for a helpless prey to stroll by... Aurika and Waterbug are much more careful, and are way too cautious when it comes to exposing themselves to their enemies - they are also patient enough to take long, time-consuming routes to reach the enemy from behind...

TL;DR - Waterbug and loulicats might be right next to each other in the rankings table, but employ strategies, that are on the opposite extremes in the 'strategic insanity scale'.

I might add that there is skill in knowing your opponent as well. Knowing which techniques are most effective against whom is a big part of being good or being pro-fodder.

I got something they should add limited cps I find it weird that my cps can get up to 28 using drag clicking.
Gives players advantages tbh.
Also why on the cave map why do people try to submerge me with the lava.

SublimeC - If your team-mate(s) tries to dunk you in lava, ask them not to (they might not have done that on purpose). But if they persist, simply report them and the moderators will take the necessary measures.

I wonder what my strategy would be considered or described as? bugz is unimpatient, which is the opposite of me, but i think im less a daredevil as loulicats, i like to take the enemys from the rear after i die and lose all my goodies. Im also prone to try and get that one last kill even if it means my death and go down in a flame of glory.
