I am not always able to make videos :-)

I do have one recently, but I forgot to switch on mic audio so... hmm.

For the server being buggy/laggy.... you're going to have to give specific examples, otherwise I can't find anything to fix :-(

Taikedz, couldn`t you add more mods in your server, for example Home Decor (for build of house), Vehicles, Bows?

Unfortunately I was not able to fix this so I had to resotre from a backup - that backup was taken November 9th (breakage happened around November 12th) so it's a little old but not too bad. Your personal inventory should not have been affected, but items stored away in chests have unfortunately been lost.

If there was anything particularly dear to you that you lost (new travelnet location, written book, etc), let me know, I can try to track it down in the logs and restore a similar, on a best effort basis.

Apologies for this! I'm working on a better backup system so i can do them more frequently

Only when 3.0 is released; then I will have to make sure, if I update the mobs, that I will not have lots of "Unknown" items

I`ve invented way of to win all annoying masticones!Need to kill their if around their set blocks, then they don`t have a place to spawn them and smoke of spawning of masticones evaporates and masticones can`t spawn

New change - killing mobs has a 1/10 chance of making them drop an egg of themselves

Placing an egg automatically makes the mob a friendly - there is no more need for the "mob tamer"

Protections have become more costly - you will need to make them using energy globes... *niark niark*

Hi again taikedz/DuCake :)

As promised, a first attempt at modifying the appearance of what seems to be the top-strength helmet.

I used the familiar standard Diamond-Helmet shape as the basic shape-mask.

Comments and Preferences..? I'll kick it off :

I think the fully-enclosed original is visually heavy and would probably be off-putting to some newbies as you try to help them.

Also, I know I'm not the only person on the planet who's less-than-impressed with showy-display and conspicuous bling, and definitely not the whole indulgent ''royalty'' nonsense ... so, predictably, my own preference would be number-3 or possibly number-2.

I think it's enough of a nod to the crafting components which use the King-Duck crown, and enough to signal it's not just a Masticone-Helmet.

Altogether scaled-back and toned-down, much more tasteful ... minimalist and classier in my eyes.

What do others think..?

Fantastic, nice one :-)

I am more interested in #1 - the thing is, I think it should remain evident that there's a crown, since that's what people would expect and might enjoy themselves.

I could even envisage making #3 the normal one, and then obtaining #1 by combining masticone skull crowned with another crown and mese crystals -- in case people wanted to be opulent. No stat improvements, or maybe even stat decrement. Just to show who likes function and who likes "bling" :-P

I am also wondering what it looks like from the side, see if some sort of masticone fang motif could be integrated into the cheek guards... if that's much effort then no worries I'll use the #1 as it already is...

It also can be very thematic to have a "regal" helmet for those servers that really want the warriors/corpse of your enemies feel....

on that note, I was thinking about the thematics and function of those sandworm helmets....

Ooh, erm, hmmmm, interesting idea. Presently the sides are just the yellow crown band/speckles at the top of the slightly-mottled masticone-brown design, but shaped as per the diamond-helmet sides. Fangs could be tricky, given how much like a comb they are, but having only 8 pixels to play with.

I'll do some thinking and experimenting for you. Watch this space! :D

.... it's also envisageable to bring it up to a 16x16 resolution..... MT automatically sccales the graphics as needed. Hek, you could even do 64x64 if it would satiate your creativity.... but it would quickly snowball :-P

In all seriousness - it's an idea that came to me but I admit I hadn't even checked what resolution was available.

I'm rubbish at pixel art, so I generally try to find CC-BY images at high res, adapt them, then downscale and let the image editor do the antialiasing.... :-P

Eeek, noooo, please let's not go down the higher-res route --- one of the things I value about your NSSS is its low bandwidth compared with other worlds --- other lovely-looking richly-decorated hi-res worlds which I discovered gobbled through the gigabytes. Monthly data-caps make these worlds off-limits for me.

I'd just finished a first attempt at fang-cheeks, fortunately saved, but then the power went off and I've been unable to launch the offline local world, neither from command-line nor from GUI. I don't know enough to even speculate whether it's a file corruption during the crash.
