The arena is finally FINISHED! I'm thinking of holding this event wednesday at 7:00 atlantic time unless something changes.

Ok so I talked with the other "gamemaker" Mayajazz and we won't be able to do it for another weekend. Look forward to Saturday May 5 for the games but anyone can join and help build the capitol or districts.

may i request something for the sponsers?
here is some of my ideas

-please no mod spawning...that would be annyoing...find a different way to bring the players together to kill ea other lol
-preset the sponsers...assign (at most 3 {but let them choose who they want to sponser!

} ) to ea player (same amount of sponsers as players {eg; 12 players 12 sponsers [or maby 1 1/2 of the players? 18..just offering some opinions

] } ) so you dont have 20 sponsers giving to one player who would then become OP big time :l
-give them limited stuff...aka lets say you use a "points" system...giving a iron sword would cost x amount of points out of a preset amount (50 points? 100?) and if you want to follow the book make everything very expensive...say you give 50 points then a iron sword should cost 10-25 points maby more...these minecraft ones has a hundred sponsers running around giving so much free items (diamond sowrds/armour/a boat load of food/exp/enchantment tables/etc)
-lastly dont let them attack/harm/impair other players in anyway...lets say you go by the books...then they should not even be able to hurt players or even talk to them (i would rather they be able to talk to the person there sponsering but it dosnt matter)

these are just my opinions and its your server so you dont have to add them...let me know what you think and if they are/will be added

Great ideas I hated how people would spawn mobs. The sponsors could drop in items by paying with rupees.
My ideas for the games are that each person gets 3 lives and once you die 3 times you're out. The arena isn't too large so they can't go too far away. Not only are there items at the cornucopia but in chests all around the map. The players could build whatever they want to protect themselves but are not allowed to dig anything but these structures. The arena was generated pretty amazing with a perfect spot for the cornucopia under 2 mountains by a lake. I would also assign Gamemakers who could spawn vombies or anything like that. Would you like to be a Gamemaker?

ummm i was actually hoping to be one of the people playing xD

but yea i can be a game maker too (so long as i get to go play every once in a while too ;D)...by not being allowed to dig besides these structure im gussing you mean the pre-built houses and buildings?

as for the dieing 3 times i dont see how that could happen easily...(this is based on if you die and drop items) when you spawn you have nothing (and if they dont drop items then poo....it would be hard to get alot of nice items x3)...since the map wont be huge there isnt many spawning spots so they would almost instantly die again (unless very lucky)...not trying to contradict you or anything just offering my opinion

ps; i like to quote the person im talking too...its a bad habit and im trying to break it xD

EDIT: some of the posts in this thread is saying we can come see the server? i would like to check it out if i can? ;D?

I have a certain spawn area and players are not allowed to go near it while their in the game.

And Yea! Tomorrow the server will be up at 4:30 to 5:30 Atlantic time. Hopefully this will work for you.

kk cool...also i dont know what time zone im in (fail i know) its 10pm atm and i live in Louisiana U.S. (in case you know what time zone im in please tell

i wont have to download anything to join the server (remobo or anything like that) because i dont want too...my computer is already bogged down with downloads

You can set the timezone in your profile just set it to Atlantic. The server will be up at the same time everyday until It's ready.

thats not good for me...if its up only between 4:30 and 5:30 then i cant get on as im at school at that time...well i would have a few minutes time (get off at school at 5:00 atlantic and get on between 5:10 to 5:20) which sucks :l

that would be nice ^^

for me i do the following to post pictures;
hit f12 (or whatever your computer uses to take screenshots)
go to google and search imageshackuploader and download it
when your ready to post a picture open the imageshackuploader and hit "add" in the bottom left corner and go to the folders that hold the minetest game your playing and go in as if you were going to run minetest (go to bin) and choose the captured screenshot
upload it when you have chosen it and copy the direct link
come to the forum and when your posting a reply they have those symbols above the message box...2nd to last one is img...click it it will look like this "" and just paste the link between the img

and you should be able to post a picture!

ps; i hope this helps but idk...thats the first time i explained how to do it ^^

EDIT: didnt add what it looked like....basically two imgimg right next to ea other but with [] around them and paste in the middle
