Re: [Server] HOMETOWN
I saw the eclipse, too, ynomrah :) It got very dark, and the animals got very quiet. I remember catching a glimpse of the full eclipse for a few moments, it was beautiful. It was a black circle with a white, fiery ring around it. Truly memorable.
What is SCP-055?

Back! The eclipse was awesome! No shadow bands though :/ The diamond ring looked cooler than I thought it would. There was a crowd of people nearby that started a wolf howl when the sun was covered. Pretty ironic...

Could someone could remove the streetlamps? I don't think they are needed in that particular location...

Me thinks the lamp post was placed there before the house and sidewalk were built. Perhaps the house builder didn't think ahead, or even care? Kibbie placed the light posts, and I know she was particular of the layout. So it's on her to decide it's fate.

yopmail isn't a real email. At all. Not uncommon that disposable emails are rejected as they are used so much by spambots. In fact yopmail doesn't even require a registration. You can use lone_wolf@yopmail.com without ever having to visit it first. No login required. Also there are no MX records for that email provider. I would have to hack phpbb to bypass that, and I think I'll pass on that one. Valid email required. And that is that.Lone_Wolf wrote: Try PMing ExeterDad instead of reposting on this topic ;)

It was me. It was his Company Christmas bonus. We were a little short and couldn't hand out turkeys. Goes to show how often he checks his box.

Re: [Server] HOMETOWN
Depends on what you are asking. You can claim a PO box in the Post Office by simply clicking a available one. There is a limit to one per player.ThomasMonroe wrote:How would one obtain a PO box?
If you wish to have a PO box outside of the Post Office... it is not possible. They were designed only to be in the Post Office.
A hard to summarize issue came up with the regular looking mailboxes (inbox). So they had to be made useless while showing a mailbox node to prevent unknown blocks from being all over the server. Those were made to made to work like you would expect plus be connected with the PO box so players could go to the Post Office and sent you a gift to your far away home without ever going there.
Hopefully I'll shift my attention to the boxes and get them fixed one of these days. They've been broken since June.

Re: [Server] HOMETOWN
Kibbie added some new rows of them on the ground floor of the Post Office a while ago in some new center rows. There are still some available. Check up high.

Re: [Server] HOMETOWN
It's funny you should ask. Currently a script is running generating map "tiles" in 1K sizes right now.teenspirit wrote:Hey Edad, what are the odds we could get another one of those awesome server maps?
I've been working on a bash script that will make a grid of manageable sized map parts. There's eventually going to be clickable thumbnail images of the parts, arranged in a html table with a dropdown according to dates.
But I'll make a spawn map available shortly as it may take me years to finish developing the completed thing at this pace.
Stay tuned for the spawn map link.
Edit: It was finished as I was typing. lol
Here's a link rather than posting. It's from a few moments ago. 2000 nodes square, spawn at center.

Re: [Server] HOMETOWN
I was thinking of something related to the maps too ExeterDad :P
EDIT: When are you going to make it map 5000 nodes by 5000 nodes?

Re: [Server] HOMETOWN
I'm not. It will be too huge.Lone_Wolf wrote:EDIT: When are you going to make it map 5000 nodes by 5000 nodes?
Maybe I explained it too quickly and poorly above. I'm making a whole "grid" of maps that are edge to edge. There will be smaller "thumbnails" that are clickable links to the full sized image. The thumbnails will be arranged in rows and columns and together they will appear to be a map of a much wider area.
XXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXOOXXXXX
XXXXXOOXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXX
The X's will be 1000x1000 node maps.
The center O's are the placeholder for one spawn area map. 2000x2000. The spawn is the only map I posted above.
I didn't show enough rows in the "diagram" as the shape would be wrong. The entire thing will cover 6000K nodes from spawn in each direction, 12000x12000 thousand nodes wide/tall in total.
