I though a kind of magic chest ...
You places A in chest ... then it removes A and places B
By this way .. this kind of chest can be extended to be a "give" box .. like a "shop" box ...
the owner of the box may teach the box what are the recipe of transformation ... this way ... every player can have its own "give/transform/shop" box..
Great idea, but this require C++. Who knows C++ and wants to do this?
I know c++, but cant you do it with lua? See the craft help project, that has a custom chest.
And also if the mod was in c then it would not be server side any more, you would have to upload your own version of the minetest program for the person to download
(unless mine test supports dll mods, which is unlikely)

I sell 10 coal for an ingot...
You're right, the mod converter would make that the game would not be fair. Everyone could use the /giveme command as well. Survival should rely on work and cooperation with others. I was wrong.

I changed all "1500" on "10000" and it made my whole world map.
To made/generate this world I teleported to 0,10000 then to 0,9000 then to 0,8000 and from there I was flying to 0,0.

I don't know C++ and other programming stuff.

For example you can make and schedule two minecraftmapper.py files one for draw daily normal map (3008x3008, like it is now), and second for draw daily spawn point (100x100, with centre in (0,0)):
I was mistaken, is no possibility to make 100x100 map, length of edges of output png file always are multiple of 16 and has to be equal or larger than 128.
I have tried with all sector _xmax and co ... with (+ -) 2500/16 ... it fails ..
I have tried with all sector _xmax and co ... with (+ -)1700/16 ... it fails ..
Error at (96,8,-28): database is locked

In doubt have reset the 1500 original value ... to see if it is straight related to map size...
..
we'll see..

Sounds like the block at 96,8,-28 is corrupted...
Have you tried instead of changing the map size, just moving the posistion to get different parts of the map?
