I say we should save certain parts of the map with something like worldedit and then start with a new map adding those saved landmarks to the map.

Hello; I'd like to protect my two areas:
(-300,34,-250) to (-320,80,300) (Large Minetest Stair)
and (-320, 380, -455) to (-300, 370, -290) (Sky Cobblestone Island).

in an hour and a half from this post we will be hosting a party again because eg couldn't be there yday.
There will be a new event a spleef arena!
I will be trying to host the party aggain saturday night at 9PM central USA time.

Hi! I'm sorry I wasn't able to come to the re-party! I should have told you I wasn't able to arrive but I'm putting together the stuff I shot the other day and the first party should be up Monday.

Bad news, I was cleaning out my movie folder last night and found out just now that I accidentally got rid of the movie I recorded there DX

I was thinking about, though, about throwing another party at Redcrab for episode 100 of my gameplay series, and I'll be inviting some people including you!

Just tell me what time is convenient for you and I'll negotiate a time around that with others.

Should this server be updated, the mods will have to be updated as well. I sent Redcrab a PM about doing this, but he hasn't even looked at it.

If this server is updated to 0.4.7, the current map should be kept. To make this easier, it would be nice if unused/wasteful chunks of the map could be deleted (namely, chunks that nobody has ever built in.) This would not only reduce the size of the map considerably, but allow make room for the dungeons, jungles, flowers, and grass of 0.4.7. If anybody knows how to delete chunks, say so in the posts below so that Redcrab will know how to do it.

There is a glitch or something on this server. The furnaces wont work! I put coal and the material in and it will not start smelting it, it just sits there! Someone please help!

The trouble with this approach is not finding out how to delete chunks. That would be pretty easy (at least while the server is shut down for 1-2 minutes). Each chunk is a database entry and could be deleted using a simple sql command. The identification of "unused" chunks is far more difficult. How do you determine large-scale which chunks are unused? If you look at it ingame you can tell (as long as buildings are not hidden) - but how would you do so automaticly?
