Of course!

Note: we've had a significant amount of ideas already posted and discussed before. There are a few things I won't do on the current server, like multiplayer puzzle boxes, for instance. But there are definitely still things we can add. I think I didn't add TNT until we had more than 30 boxes.

There also is plenty of stuff that needs work and I've thought about in the past:
- more storyline in the main tutorial. This probably needs an extended series built in the same style
- proper series for each category, or, something that automatically does that, preferably
- events?
- maybe some rewards for extra players, like how admins have gold bracelets now.
- lobby music boxes / jukebox

Maybe you could add something like Rocket League seasons where you get rewards according to where on the leaderboard you are.

What's the point of new features when there are no new boxes to play in?

We do this so you have something to complain about.

Well I hardly play Inside the Box server anymore because there aren't any more new boxes.

Inside the Box doesn't have enough players. We need some events that can get more interest in Inside the Box. Perhaps a competition of box-building or playing. We could hold a meeting about that in the locked meeting room in the nexus sometime (It would finally have a purpose!).

I also wish that there was some way to make different types of special boxes. For instance, I think that a way to make a string of boxes that create a story like the tutorial does would be nice. The problem is that it shouldn't just be stuck into the "New" category because that already has many boxes and a series would be hard to follow if it was spaced out in it.

Another special box I would like is a box with no floor like Tutorial Part 7, since that provides more opportunities for ideas.

Lastly, I also hope the tutorial storyline gets finished, and that the random block in the forest in the nexus gets a point to it.

Co-op puzzles would attract a lot of new attention and interest but, I believe that idea/work will go into the next project

I have a really nice box in the works and plenty of other ideas to make, but I am too busy working on other things. Hopefully I will be able to return to making boxes soon.

Just submit it. I usually review boxes that are submitted within a few hours. Especially if you ping me, you'll get feedback really fast. Be prepared to tweak it though, not many boxes pass review without touchups...

I figure out the pedestal a while ago. It made me realize the truth... 'It's all a lie..."
But.... sssshhhhhh, don't let the others know.

I like the way you did the 'spoilers' without actually giving too much away.

I also have a box lying around that I need to finish, I just need to invest 1 more hour into it. Maybe I can publish it soon

Left you some feedback in the box itself on some signs. Looks promising, but talk to me on IRC if you need!

If you think you're terrible you will be terrible. Start with a small box and a positive attitude :P

For me the following works well:

- Don't count on building a good box in under 5 hours. It takes a lot of work. Some of my boxes have 10+ hours of build time in them. While this seems depressing, remember that as you put more time in a box it, it slowly gets better and better.

- I usually start by building a "scene" - a landscape and buildings, cave system etc., and spend 2-3 hours on the layout. Then I spend a few hours on the mechanics and puzzle elements. And then I spend more time doing decoration and making the scene/landscape consistent and rich. Working in this order allows me to organize my time and not have to rebuild whole sections over and over again, and gives me a layout that people can understand.

- Visuals. Try and think of how your player sees the box. Think like a photographer. Frame the views and use visual attention so that players know where to look, or, when to distract them.

- Avoid shortcuts and trolling. Hiding switches gets really tiring. Endless difficult jumps are not a good way to encourage and reward players. One or two difficult jumps is OK. Twenty means players just leave. People don't like feeling they're a mouse in a maze, so if you make a maze, don't make it look like one.

- Last, take a look at boxes that you yourself like as a player, and figure out why you really like those boxes. If you build something similar but with your own perspective, it will be appealing to at least some of the players as well!
