[Server] Regulus: A Mars Server

Regulus: A Mars Server

This server runs a slightly modified version of marssurvive, with additional mods such as Hyperloop and Technic.

New: Speed around in a shuttle, perhaps even having air battles with rangedweapons!

Admins: Regulus (me); archfan (co-admin)

Older version of marssurvive with several added mods.
Agree to the rules to get interact!

I have played on your server and it is really nice! But... what do bugs to aliens?

The aliens have a critical bug that crashes the server. It may be because they're using deprecated functions, or because we don't have all runtime dependencies. We're looking into it :)

Update!
archfan has remodeled the spawn to provide some new-player storage via the smartrenting mod, and also built an arena for a Halloween event! Visit it any time with the buttons in the spawn.

:D I just loved the server, it have everything I like, technic, mesecons, pipeworks, digilines, some plugins of this mods and no-mobs or nether :DDDD so good, just one question, Where is tin?!?!?!?!?!?


Also... Many technic items cannot be crafted cuz there is no way to get some technic ores such as zinc, uranium and others.. maybe you could try to make a shop selling them or make a way for them to spawn(maybe with a asteroids mod that add stone-made asteroids, it would be a real challange for people to start technic)

I know I answered your question ingame, but here it is for forum users:
Shops have been set up for all the Technic ores, though they should spawn in map chunks generated after last night. Also, mods we're going to add soon include Wuzzy's point-teleporter, pocketnuke (maybe?), and a fix for placing shuttles in protection. As for mobs, as I said ingame we're thinking of some cross between a porcupine and a Tribble, basically nothing more than a cute Mars pet.

Ummm I'll use this post to put all the missing items that we need to craft stuff in the server:

  • ✓Clay, Maybe you could just append this code at the of the the marssurvive craft.lua file:
    minetest.register_craft({
    type = "shapeless",
    output = "default:clay",
    recipe = {"marssurvive:clayblock",},
    })
  • ✓ Rubber tree sapling, it's one of the most important parts of technic, without this we can't pass the Low Voltage
  • Marble
  • Granite
  • Desert cobble or stone
    level

I know, there are still quite a few buggy mods. Thanks for finding the telepointer bug. Right now we restart the server as soon as we see it's crashed, but in the near future we'll have an automatic restart script.

I'm just looking around the server now.

Is there a "build area" ?

Ok found an open area "dust".

I just want to try building a simple luaController / button / door |lamp .

The inventory GUI looks different than my stock game. Is that a mod I can download ?

How do I move an item from the "right side" of the GUI to the "hotbar" area ?

I tried LMB-drag, / double clicking.

Maybe my connection is just too slow ?

Ok, I see that the "gui" is the unified_inventory.

Seems I'm missing the "give me" buttons / 'give' privilege ?

Do I have to earn / buy / "treasure hunt" that somehow ?

Is the server running on Linux or Windows ?

I really am just trying to find out if the luacontroller "print()" function works on the server (and why it does NOT work on my Win 7 minetest-0.4.16-win64)

1. This is a survival server not creative, you shouldn't just get items like that

2. You have to craft / buy / collect the items, if you ever played survival you know, you get into a cave or mine to get ores, you put items in your crafting table to craft more complex items, and in this server there is currency mod so you can buy some items from other people(I have a shop for some random stuff :3 buy random stuff there prix)

3. Idk I'm not admin/owner or something

It was not a question but I'll answer anyway, I don't know if have you ever seen the console/terminal/cmd/shell/anythingyouwant but the print function prints things there, if you want it to print in the chat you can't do it, use a digiline wire connected to a LCD screen instead so you can see what you do

Seems Sires is keen on killing my character outside of the area. "PVP is enable" "Go tell the admins" was his response to me asking him to stop. Also one of the energy guns he's using keeps going long after he even logs off. Walls won't stop the shot. Even getting killed by one which looks like ball with spider web doesn't get rid of it.

Fuu... and I thought this was going to be a good server.

Okay -1000m and no spawning of tin, silver, zinc, sulfur, lead, etc for technics. While it might be cool to BUY these when in stock, it's a pain leading to one sided economy.

Been helping the newbies with gifts of materials to give them a foot hold on the server. The more players are encouraged the stronger to server will grow. Didn't even blink a eye when one new user chopped down a mars tree in front of my place... that is what they were intended for.

I'm slowly gaining resources and equipment for a big build at Far Away. Maybe include crew quarters, an open lab, real air space and a cafe.

Wow first I wanna thx admins for adding my mod obdy and adding my requested mod locks.
The obdy table craft is broken for some reason, the rest seems fine, but I cant get my obdy table to craft obdy.
I created a little branch to the server, with obdy with the marssurvive:stone texture and it generates in it, also I don't see why the craft is broken, I tested both links(github download and the download in forum) and both them works.

Pneumatic sorting lua controller tube crashes the server.
There is no craft to luacontroller also.
**I got that tube from a random lua controller I found somewhere, dunno how did this guy craft it**

Another request for mod... plastics.. aka plastic block and maybe scifi nods which uses plastic blocks and gives that sci-fi looking things.

This is the only non working craft, the rest is all fine, this is the craft that blocks you from playing with obdy if it doesn't works, maybe some you can try checking if is it there at line 98 I think

Maybe replace "diamondblock" with "default:diamondblock"? I am unsure if that alone would break it though. Also, your obdy-mars fork is missing the "obdy" group definition; players can't dig your ore because of this.
