Wow!
I was always interested in such possibility to transfer stuff between some servers. Now I can test it! Great!

Who knows what will happen in the future :)
New trade agreements between Jungle and Lilly's world ?
bio hazard in Lilly's world making concrete indispensible ?
a collapsed nuclear reactor needs a shell ?
Lilly wants a statue ?
or admin wants one ?

infinite possibilities :D

I've been having a fun (and sometimes frustrating) time trying to solve the mystery of Lilly's disappearance. Sometimes I can't figure out what is meant by the clue so I run around and hope I stumble across what I'm looking for. But I made it, I'm as far in the storyline as it goes as of last night.

Gundul, do you have an idea of when you'll have the next part ready to go?

Well done ! :) your were the second I guess who made it so far as long as this server exists. At least the second I know of :)

Joy and frustration are close friends and part of the game. Lilly pretty busy to somehow get to know what really happens is not always able to give easy, straight clues. Or maybe she does not even want to ?

There seems to be something unusual with Lilly, no ?

I am always developing on story, mods and my servers. Lately interkom mod connected Jungle with Lilly's world.
That was not without purpose, Jungle beeing the home where Lilly lived with her mum before starting her odyssee.
What comes next and when I cannot tell. But it will surely happen. Someone once said: if you want to do something well, take your time :)

Any progress will be anounced here in forum :)

Basic_machines mod

Basic_machines mod update

sorry guys but basic_machines mod stacksize and battery cheat has been disabled.
Stacksize is 1024 which is already far more than the default 99. I think that should be
enough.

Basic_machines

fixed bug still allowing stacks > 1024 in mover

number of max possible generators increased to 50.

the balancing still goes on, so expect changes in the next days. any feedback is always
helpful, it does not have to be positive.
It is still possible do create machines and generate in a pretty short time more blocks of
any kind than you could ever use for building ! And not only that, you can even share them to
the Jungle world without having any loss. Server stability and equal share of cpu time is
more important than posessing the most largests stacks in Minetest world.

latest changes of rnd have been taken back by me.
max upgrade of 50 generators inside each of it is still valid but
I need more information that is enough or not.

max stack size in mover remains to 1024

I am thinking about reducing max generator nodes per aktive mapblocks

updated latest changes of basic_machines.
Additionally I added some clockgen and generator balancing.

And finally "aviator" made it to Lilly. Some may know it from Jungle server.
It is available from constructor and it is NOT for the poor !

Do your work and you will be rewarded :)

Lilly, by rail

by Gundul » Sun Nov 18, 2018 15:16

Thanks to junglist_soldier you are able to use the new railway system:

17km of powered rails in three loops around the world. An entire trip would last
about 45min. Just grab a cart and enjoy.
Travel to the latest buildings, see gorgeous landscapes, temples, gardens and more.
Or just find a nice place nearby and settle down.

Moon is maybe not available by rails, but maybe you will find an other way to get there

Here some impressions from the way:

+ Let me see

There are treasure chests hidden all over the world. Most in or around buildings.
Maybe the most precious things can be found in places owned by a strange guy calling
himself Louis Z. This guy could also be play an important role in Lilly's whereabout.

basic_machines fixed

by Gundul » Tue Jan 01, 2019 17:17

NEWS

I fixed the auto repair bug of basic_machines mod when moving tools
and other stuff containing metadata.

I added /rules. This concerns only new players:
From now on you will start in space. Read rules, help and hints
and find the keyword in the text. Once you entered the right word you will be
granted interact and teleported into Lilly's world

Happy new year and have fun

Interkom update

by Gundul » Fri Jan 04, 2019 14:12

--- News ---

with latest interkom mod: whitelist/blacklist people sending you stuff.

if a not whitelisted person wants to send you something you will see
a message who from which server wants to send you what.

for example: Testplayer@Jungle wants to send you default:mese 25

Now you have 60 seconds time to think. If you want to accept type
/ok and you get the stuff and sender is whitelisted. No more questions if
he wants to send you something in the future.
Just ignore, the sender keeps blacklisted and nothing will happen at all.
The sender will not know about if you whitelist him or keep him blacklisted.
By default everyone from everywhere is blacklisted.

One other day you decide that Testplayer should be blacklisted again:
/bl Testplayer@Jungle
will do that for you

Finally got a bit time to take a look at this intresting server (Yes, I know, a lot of my mods are waiting for maintenance. But it sometimes takes looking at those voxel worlds to get back into the right way of thinking)

So, Lilly has gone missing. Well. There are a lot of promisingly looking buildings visible from spawn. I explored some of them, climed a mountain (great - tents for taking a break halfway up! Thanks, builder of that path!), visited intresting places (monastry, fortress, railway stations, ...), got free drinks in a restaurant for thirsty travellers, crossed many impressive bridges, got lost in a very enjoyable village and a great town (later proven to be built by another Lilly-searcher, namely junglist_soldier) and had a very good time. No traces of Lilly there, but definitely worth walking to these places and do sightseeing. There are a lot of lovely details to be found. The server is worth recommending for that alone already.

At one location, I thought "Hm. This might be a place twoelk would definitely enjoy." Guess who's house I found a mere 20 m away?

Other players I met on the server proved to be very friendly as well. The connection to the more populated Jungle server leads to a world where chatting is more frequently possible than elsewhere due to more players beeing connected.

So, eventually, I started looking for the lost Lilly. There where some very nice ruins to explore, which was very enjoyable. However, at one point I had no idea of how to go on. From there on, I depended on help to find the next places where Lilly had been. Those places where too wide-spread for me, with too few hints inbetween. It would be great if Lilly could have left some locked chests of hers, other traces of building (the ones by other Lilly searchers are sometimes confusing due to their existance), more temporary dwelling places (i.e. a tiny iglu in the snowlands, more way stations like that one in the desert). At one point I thought Lilly was just a troll. Perhaps she knew - there were highly valuable treasures in the next treasure chest, possibly as an apology. In the end, we were four players on the hunt, stuck in the same room. Eventually, one player found the solution. It worked nicely then, but also seemed a bit illogical to me. I think that riddle requires more hints.

I decided to settle down and wait for more traces of Lilly to appear. A promising place could be found, the neighbours are friendly, willing to help and agree with me building there - but it may not work. The server uses the protector mod. It is not at all certain that the place *can* be protected. I once had a house on a server with a similar protection mod. The staircase of that house was attached in an outbuilding. Nobody - neither me, neither *any* of the neighbours, neither the server owner or even the creator of the protector mod where able to protect that staircase. It fell prey to griefers because no protector could be placed in a suitable way. The mod isn't suitable for tight-building situations. On another server, I seem to have forgotten to place enough protectors upwards. The entire roof was griefed. If you see someone walking around with a stolen roof...that's mine :/. And it is extremly annoying to be killed for daring to read a sign.

As long as protectors do not overlap they can be placed as close as possible to each other. There are no gaps and no one dies by reading a sign.

There is also the area mod for protection. Area_low_limits priv will be granted if I see someone is a serious and trustworthy player.
