Re: [Server] Lilly in the valley
deer and wolf are from wildlife mod for mobkit. If there is aSokomine wrote:Is there a way to catch deer?
lasso in your inventory, it won't work on them because that
one is from mobs_redo.
I only added some code to make deers and wolves give drops when killed.
What do you need the deers for ?

I...er...it...er...will feel a lot happier stored away in my chest! The chest contains a lot less scary sharks than nature, and there'll be food available *quickly hiding my collection of petz on Tunnelers Abyss*. And...er..there's that issue with deer eating young trees and beeing a hinderance when reforresting areas. They need to be captured and kept in a safe environment!Gundul wrote: I only added some code to make deers and wolves give drops when killed.

[It just feels odd not to be able to interact with it more. Wild animals running away is fine...but a cornered animal can't do that anymore...]

Re: [Server] Lilly in the valley
I must say I like the idea of deers eating saplings :) But capturing them ? Where is the benefit of it ?Sokomine wrote:I...er...it...er...will feel a lot happier stored away in my chest! If it is cornered, kill it, cook it, eat it :D
Seriously. I could do something like that if that is really necessary or wanted by more than one player :)
But I have so much other things on my todo list, capturing deers is on very low level :)

My heart's breaking, took me almost 5 minutes to compose and record that piece. ;)Gundul wrote:turned off shark sound
Seriously though, that was kind of a joke, but some kind of sound warning would be in order, maybe splashing water sound?

So sorry for your beloved soundfile ;)Termos wrote: My heart's breaking, took me almost 5 minutes to compose and record that piece. ;)

But I am pretty sure we will find something else in the future.
splashing water would be ok if the shark is already near you

Now there is. Right click with water_life:lasso and you get them.Sokomine wrote:Is there a way to catch deer?
After releasing them, they will not run away anymore.
Deers are getting hungry now, by time or if they were chased by wolves or players.
Water rescue also drains their energy.
wild and tamed deers like all stuff from group:flora, but the #1 on the menu is
everything which grows in your garden at any stage of growth. So protect your
crops well from hungry deers :)

Usually walls are build because no one should enter :) You are the first one in succeeding.
please do not spoil any pictures or descriptions of what is inside. A part of the missing Lilly
story will take place here, but is not finished yet. So what you saw is only a wip.

What works very well in Singleplayer unfortunatley does it not on multi player servers. At least not
if you do want to pay big money for a high spec server :)
So sorry, but this mod will not make it here. Lilly is low spec, but free for every one :)

Re: [Server] Lilly in the valley
Hi! I have noticed strange behavior in game. Always, whenever it rains in the game, the connection slow down, the actions take a lot of time, regardless of whether I have a high fps on the local client.

Some people already reported. But only very few. I do not know what exactly it is and why. I guess it has somethingapercy wrote:Hi! I have noticed strange behavior in game. to do with connection quality and particles. You can disable particles in your client and try again.
In game when you hit "F5" you see a RTT value on the top right The higher it is, the more likely you will have
errors like that. The RTT value tells you how long a packet needs to go to server and pack.

Thank you! I hope to see one soon and be able to capture it (locked chests and player inventories are much more comftable places for the deer than the cold outside!)Gundul wrote:Now there is. Right click with water_life:lasso and you get them.Sokomine wrote: Is there a way to catch deer?

Excellent! That makes them far more realistic and believable *hurrily looking for a fence to protect my tomato plantation*Gundul wrote: Deers are getting hungry now, by time or if they were chased by wolves or players.
