Hello,
My kid (olivjim) tried to connect to his account, but he had a message saying that he is about to join the server with this name for the first time. Has his account been disabled ? Is it possible to reactivate it ?

Hello oliviersxm,
I am an admin on Blocky Survival. I recently put in place a mod that resets the accounts of players with the 100 weakest passwords, based on statistics of passwords that hackers try to guess. I did this because hackers were getting into a lot of player accounts and causing trouble. I can't restore their inventory, but all their buildings and protected areas are still intact, and I can gift them some items from my survival account to help replace anything they lost. They can contact me in game (flux or rheo), or talk to any other server staff if they are around.

Hello BillyS, I would like your team and you to add a "shop" to be able to sell and buy items without having a store. The items would have prices defined according to demand and the sale rate. This "shop" would be accessible with the command : /shop

You mean like a global market?
I can be found on BlockySurvival (admin).

I'm more fond of having physical shops you have to maintain and visit. If you're having trouble finding shops, there's a "shopping network" travelnet at spawn, which is a shortcut to most of the largest shops. We probably won't be installing anything like the mod you suggest.

Sorry, I'm not sure why you would have to move just because there is a giant wall.

@Hulkhogan25 it looks like you've started building in an area that aleksbuilder plans to develop. There's no reason you have to move, but you may have a lot of neat buildings around you eventually :)

@Hulkhogan25 I don't think aleksbuilder follows this thread (so far as I know), you'll have better luck trying to get ahold of them in-game on on IRC (on freenode.net)

Hulkhogan25: Demonstrate that you can build things like aleksbuilder can. Keep in mind being a builder is as much a job as an honour.

* builders get the following privileges: fast, fly, noclip, creative, teleport, areas
* they are not allowed to give anything to, or build for, survival players.
* they are under a much closer eye from other server staff than most players.

It's allowed to have both a builder account and a survival account, but the builder account can't give anything to the survival account.

hi, im new to the minetest modding community. I just made a new mod, that adds a spleef game. I know that there is already a spleef game in Blocky survival, but it requires a command block, so it is not possible for regular players to set up personal spleef arenas. That is where my mod comes in. My mod adds a new glasslike node, called Spleef Cube. When punched by hand, it usually turns into a flashing version of a Spleef cube, which then turns into an airlike node, allowing players to fall through it. My twist is that occasionally, punching it turns it into a spleef fire cube, which makes fire above it. Punching the fire cube also turns it into a flashing node, which then turns into its airlike state. The fire cube and the Spleef cube have a mesecons state of [off], while the airlike node has a mesecons state of [on]. this means that you can reset the board by powering it with a mesecons switch, which will turn the entire board into its airlike state, while releasing the power turns the entire board back into its solid (ready to play) state.

Please look at the code and consider adding it to Blocky survival so that normal players can make intricate spleef arenas

Hi, I'm new to Minetest and the Blocky Survival server.
My name in the server is George2020A.

I've been on and off the server for a few days and I'm enjoying the good selection of mods and the helpfulness of the people there, like Rafsi and the other admins.
Since I'm new to Minetest I was thinking of improving my builder skills on singleplayer using the mods that Blocky Survival uses. I downloaded the mods from here https://github.com/BlockySurvival/bls_mods following the instructions there.
I enabled all the mods except for irc, irc2, irc_commands, irc_commands2 and verbana. However, I was getting the following errors in the console while loading the world:

I traced the missing dependency to pipeworks in the technic mod, I downloaded pipeworks from https://gitlab.com/VanessaE/pipeworks and now I see no errors in the console while loading the world.

However, now after loading the world: a few seconds after starting the game, Minetest crashes with the following error:

Hey jomunoz/George2020A. My best guess is that you're loading in certain mods from modpacks that we use, and the result is a dependency loop. I'm adding a copy of our world.mt file to this post, which enables only those mods that we actually use. You should discard the top few lines, and only make use of the `load_mod_*` lines. Make sure that you have the mods installed in `~/.minetest/mods` and not in `~/.minetest/worlds/WORLDNAME/worldmods`; the latter force-loads everything, no matter what world.mt says.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, contact me again.

With the setup you gave me the the game is now stable. Thank you very much!

The following bug is no longer present, it has been fixed in latest 5.2-dev.
Posting the following in case someone is running a build form latest master branch (5.2-dev):
I was running Minetest from a built of latest master. When my wife disconnected from my world I would get errors on different mods.
I spent a few hours chasing the cause of the issue and framed it to calls to minetest.get_connected_players(). After checking the sourcecode for Minetest, I found the culprit: https://github.com/minetest/minetest/co ... 54d689a4e2

It seems that the move of the method to C++, is causing race conditions on mods callbacks, that is, when the mod wants to take an action on a player and the player just disconnected, minetest.get_connected_players() will get the player object, but it points to an empty reference.

The fix for me was to switch to the stable-5 branch and built again. Now all works fine.
I hope the devs notice the bug soon.
