Hi guys,

Let me introduce our small cozy home Ubuntu server which runs Minetest 5.2.05.3.0 with MineClone 2 by Wuzzy with very basic addidions:

Survival Mode: kay27.ignorelist.com:30000

Creative Mode: kay27.ignorelist.com:30001

Additional mods:
- protector by TenPlus1;
- sethome by sfan5.

Additional texture packs, in the sequence:
- REFI;
- Unofficial;
- MTG4MCL2 (except furnace_front_active and palette_grass because of incompatibility with current MCL2).

Server located in Izhevsk, Russia. We plan to play month or two and would be happy if somebody join us.

Adding some screenshots. Added a map. Got an update from MCL2 repository.
Very, very similar to MC. Excepting the villages...
Creepers are a bit annoying, they literally forced me to totally protect spawn point - they exploded it all the time... so unfortunately now you have to walk some steps away from the start to start getting something :)

Server was down for some time but now it's set up for automatic restart.
Testing new Enderman from dedicated branch. Some discussions are in issue 743.

Sorry for some problems, they were because of Enderman's teleportation which is might be fixed now, but it's better to test on your own :)
Server also contains latest upstream updates of MineClone2 by Wuzzy for today.

I have some doubts which maybe I would like to discuss here.

Server runs in survival mode and most players are just playing as usual while several other continuously asking me for giving them some additional privileges. I'm not as greedy, so my main requirement - don't use it against 'normal' players.

For today it looked not as bad but...... Now I definitely see the fence made from the bedrock completely and I don't think it's normal :(

What do you think about the rules? If you were me, would you remove 'give' privilege immediately for them? Reset priveleges for all? Or maybe you have any other ideas?

Your opinion is very welcome and thanks in advance. (The main goal is a comfortable game process for the rest of the players, including us.)

P. S. Server still contains latest Wuzzy's updates, latest Enderman which acts pretty good and about 50% Russian translation.

Minetest platform updated to 5.3.0.
MineClone2 updated to latest trunk version which may be unstable but contains significant potions upgrade.
Russian translation is 100% complete except doc_basics and redstone.
I also temporarily removed intllib from protector mod for making translations work.
Please report if you find something wrong.

If they want free tell them not to beg but go to a creative server

I begin to think same way. Absolutely no warranty they won't disturb the others. As I can't always be online to watch what they do I decided to clear all given privileges and think why not to ban bedrock builders... Your opinion helps me to make the decision, thank you so much.

Actually I'm continuously adding some MC2 items to colors.txt, hope one day I'll finish it (by adding them all). My colors.txt isn't perfect, seems I need to regenerate it somehow using the current game textures, but I hadn't much time to explore how it could be done :( But today I found a simple way to combine several images into one using imagemagick convert utility and testing it right now, in the first message.

Thanks for everyone playing despite some problems with beds and furnaces, hope they all fixed now but please report if you'll find something wrong, I'll do my best to resolve ASAP. Updates: 1) 100% Russian translation by me; 2) fixed mobs getting stuck in water by MysticTempest; 3) many potion updates by Brandon; 4) updated texture packs by their creators; 5) updated protector by TenPlus1. Revoking privileges caused players migration to Clamity server, 10 players were online on Clamity server today, never seen so many players before in MineClone 2. Of course I played on Clamity too... And saw myself how experienced guys use Minetest's glitches to give whiners all what they want and even open the issues when something goes wrong with it...

I'm happy for Clamity and I just crying and thinking why not to switch off my server to save electricity and save the Earth :) Frankly speaking Clamity is good, it contains latest MineClone2 "bleeding edge" too, my translation to Russian, and also it's own feature : many skins, music ... textures seem to be original.

Last days we didn't play, maybe the reason it that. I was fixing some bugs with furnaces, beds and buckets. I added fast travels from Nether, it was about the patching too - patching is fun work, but the goals do shift and, seems I need to decide a something.

I decided to add Creative MineClone 2 Server: kay27.ignorelist.com:30001 (same address, next port). No PvP, no damage, just relaxing.

It also completely matches my forked repo, https://git.minetest.land/kay27/MineClone2/

Sorry, sorry, very sorry.
Worlds has been grieved with TNT :(
Added a fix for protector, now it works against it.
TNT could be still ignited by redstone power. But it can't explode protected areas anymore.

You probably want to disable lava/water placement at a certain height. I think "lava restrictions" mod does this.

MineClone 2 upgraded to version 0.67.0.
Player names removed from the map because I don't want to make this gift for the griefers anymore. Maybe would be better to remove the map at all?

ah, getting understanding:
* shorten the view of visible tags
* yes, remove live position from map, but then
* also hide the travel-nets ion map, they also are easy to locate for grieving

That's usually what protection is for, and you do have a protector mod installed :-). Still, the lack of locked chests (and probably unprotected furnaces) remains - but that's something MCL2 is lacking and that can be corrected.

Ah. They seem to be protected now if the area is protected. MCL2 does not have that nice distinction between normal chests and locked chests that MT has. So no need anymore to bury chests in protected areas just to protect their content.

Actually I tested only protector itself and protected door which works well... didn't try to craft protected chests. Now try to test them in creative mode. Seems there's some problem with drawing the grid... Don't know what would be better: to modify protector for removing locked chests for MCL2 or to try to fix the grid if it's possible :) @Sokomine
