@Zughy Could you make the last block of the blockleage jump visible? It is realy impossible now to know where the block is.

Hey AFCM, yes, we've just put a hint to understand how to do that jump. Thank you for the suggestion :)

New minigame (beta)! You can find it on the facade of the building right in front of the spawn

- Guide updated with the new Murder version, pictures included

πŸ”ͺ Murder
- New icons for the murderer
- Fixed annoying bug where sometimes games weren't terminated when the murderer was killed

Greetings!
This is an awesome server! I really appreciate the hard work put into the development of it. I've been playing on it for a few days now, however, just a few minutes ago when I tried to join, an error popped up on the loading screen stating the following: "Access denied. Reason: You're not whitelisted!". I didn't even realize that Minetest had that feature, and I would really appreciate some sort of explanation for this please. Just in case this helps, my in-game name is stormyknight.

Thanks.

~Stormy
'Twas a dark and stormyknight...

Hello stormy, don't worry, we didn't banned you! We had messed up when updating a mod, so we put the whitelist on in order to investigate it without any collateral damage on whomever might have logged in in the meanwhile. And no, it's not something Minetest has by default, it's a mod we did and that you can find on contentDB here.
Anyway, I'm super glad you like the server :)

--------------

So, because of the holidays, I forgot to update the post. I'll sum up these last two weeks in the following list

πŸ“ WHAT'S NEW #8 & #9

🎲 General
- Winners are now announced at the centre of the screen (before it was in the chat)

πŸ”ͺ Murder
- time before stabbing again: 20 -> 15

⛅️ Skywars
- armours!
- it's not possible to spam-eating apples anymore: at least 5 seconds shall pass (and now they make a sound when eaten)
- added sounds to the ender pearl

could you add:
a sign to to circle sumo arena

my [logo] sumo arena:
https://notabug.org/MisterE123/sumo_are ... r/logo.mts

-- the size of logo is 30x30 nodes

If you dont think it would work well as a sumo arena, feel free to use it as a skyblock 1v1 arena, or use it for both!

Ok, I have a new, alpha, minigame for you!

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=26055&p=388564#p388564

multiplayer snake!

also supports singleplayer!.

warning: keep arena sizes small, or it is boring.

I believe it has no crashes, but it needs work to polish it. However, it is playable, and you could set a few arenas up where sumo used to be.

singleplayer gameplay:
https://youtu.be/OT-U3u_zZro

Edit: Im testing a faster version at .4 second movements that uses an on_step call... I think that will be much more enjoyable.

First of all, thanks for the effort and the time. However, we saw the video and we don't think it's ready. For instance, the game is very slow-paced, and the fact that the player is compenetrated in a purple box breaks the mood. There was a snake minigame on Minecraft, you could check that out

BLOCK LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

✍️ Applications: join the minetest-aes Matrix community and room, tell us who your team is or look for people to team up with there (you need a client like Element

-------------------------------------------------

Matrix room
We decided to create the Matrix room to let people find other players to play with, and, more broadly, to start building a community around the server

Why not Discord?
We get it, Discord is the hot thing, but it's proprietary and it doesn't respect its users. We believe in a future where the machines will help people and where people will be able to see what's inside them. We are not goods, we're flesh and bones. Matrix respects these ethical aspects, and it's been improving its quality a lot. Give it a try at least :)

of course it is not ready... it took all of an afternoon to program so far :D . However, I am putting it out there, because it does "work".
Today, I will speed it up.

I am putting it here as a suggestion because I could use some multiplayer testing. So, I am asking for a little help with testing. I am not *sure* that it wont crash with multiplayer. I want to make this into a quality, fast-paced snake game, with an interesting minetest flavor.

At the moment, I *think* it works without crashing bugs. I can only test in singleplayer or in local multiplayer, and it is hard to control 2 snakes at once.
It would be helpful if I can get your suggestions, and, if you are willing, the suggestions of players on AES, I can make this better quicker. Thank you for the suggestion of speed, working on that already :D

I am going to implement the speed boost today. However, I have found that the jerky movement of player:set_pos can be really hard on the eyes at higher speeds. So another thing to do is to smooth out the movement.

Other things I have to do:
better graphics
clearing just the gameplay nodes so other board configurations are possible besides simple cubes.
more powerups besides apple (good and bad)

If you have other suggestions, please post in the mod thread.

I think that the Wormball game is ready for multiplayer testing.

So far, the changes I have made:
1)smoother movement transition
2)apples are only placed in the arena
3)worms look nice, new 3d models.

I've tested Wormball in singleplayer and it is fun and engaging, you should give it a try on the server, make multiple arenas and make it the singleplayer waiting game we were talking about...

I suggest "cheating" on the positions of the arena and making the enclosed rectangle larger than its pos1 and pos2 settings, feels too claustrophobic otherwise.

Also, fidgetting around with arena_lib, the coordinate system stuff needs some work, what about a button to get current player position instead of typing it out? (I'll probably do it anyways and do a merge request haha)

We've had a meeting tonight and we're gonna add it in beta within this week. We'll also audit the code a bit, hoping to help. According from the video, good job :)

I didn't get what you mean, but any issue and/or MR are more than welcome :D
