This is the first Minecraft-Style hardcore server on Minetest! It runs the MiniTest game by PilzAdam and me, as well as ServerExtended for maximum features. Also, slimes.

Rules:

• All players will be granted the default player rank. Privs can be viewed with /rank Players
• Please do not go too far, my space limit is 10GB
• Have fun.
• Greifing and killing is allowed. Don't spam though please.

INFO:

There is an auto-restart script, so the server *should* be up 24/7.
The server only has 128 or so MB of ram, so lag is quite possible.
ServerExtended may cause crashes, as I have yet to test it with more than 2 people.

Also, fear me, as I set up the server and got it running from a kindle. WebSSH FTW.
Confirmed: The server works, and so far is the fastest one i've seen

I was up to 18 at one point. The stats seem to reset nightly.

You had over 20 players but the numbers only show how many is on ATM if I know what you mean.

It has a max players stat. For example, if we look at sunrisetest.no-ip.org:30000's entry at the time of writing this, it says "8/100, 12". 8 is the number of current players, but 12 is the maximum that have been on since the last data reset.

I t must have gotten reset before I got a chance to see it above 20. Too bad.

Sigh at least I can get on this server redcrabs is to overloaded for my laptop to handle! P.S. My laptop is fixed!!

I know someone that has a computer that can take it! It is a desktop has six gigs ram water cooling system and one of the newest processors ever and is running win 7!

Ugh, Windows isn't safe to use on the network. I'd recommend not running a public server on it.

Oh let me guess you would suggest mac? Linux is safer than both of them especially redhat!!

Getting Minetest to work on a Mac is painful. A Mac would be way better than Windows if you can get it to run, but yeah, I'd go with Linux.

I'd love to hear your opinion on why Red Hat is safer than other distributions, though. Convince me, and maybe I'll leave Ubuntu behind.

I have a proposal. Two or three teams will fight to the death. The only trick is each of use have a castle where we have to infiltrate the others castle and do something dig a block or whatever. 3 teams would be best and maybe traxie could give each team wool matching there color. I claim leader of purple team.

sounds similar to the realm vs realm aspect of mmorpgs

For now it will stay as-is, but if this goes well, I have already started planning an MMO/RPG game.

as it is is fine if you wan't to make little clans all you need to do is a way to make clans/factions/realms and a way to identify the players from said clan/factions/realms and a way to set them
