would help if you spelt his name right, but yes, he can.
Take a look at Minetest Classic, and it's updated Development Tree, also check out my server.

Couple of new things added, jungle trees can be grown from saplings now, just plant the sapling on top of a jungletree block:

And large trees now grow at random, these require more free space around them before they'll grow from a sapling, but they'll also generate in mapgen:
