[0.4.14] LinuxGaming2 - Shutdown
[0.4.14] LinuxGaming2 - Shutdown
Howdy folks.
I don't have the time or interest to look after a Minetest server anymore so I've decided to shut things down.
LG's Minetest server has been shutdown today, Friday, January 19, 2024
The host server will still run till some time during Wednesday January 31, 2024..
Here is the link to download the last nightly backup (2024_01_19) of the LinuxGaming world and mods:
http://www.linuxgaming2.com/media/linuxgaming_2024_01_19.zip -- roughly 10g download.
The mods and tweaked base game are all under "lggame".
After extracting the zip file, there will be a "home" directory (*not* the user's /home). Here's the path from that folder:
/home/minetest/minetest-0.4.14/games/lggame/mods
This is the old Minetest v0.4.14 engine. You'll have to figure out how to compile it on newer Linux systems; some dependencies have been dropped over the years:
http://www.linuxgaming2.com/media/lg_minetest_engine.zip -- roughly 9m download.
Take care.

Because you can't embed an image into a post - you have to upload it to some website such as omploader, imgur, flickr, etc and post a link to the raw image file.

Everyone with interact is free to get rich by selling cobble for an amazing prize at the trade center...
It would be good to have beds on this server, mostly to have them as decorative furniture. A sethome command (or travelnet) would also be very useful and will become necessary when the server will grow and people will have to build further out. Another nice furniture mod would be living-room furniture.

I just want to give you mod that will be pretty good on WazuClan.com. It is the mod Carts by PilzAdams. I hope it gets installed.

This server is still using 0.4.6. If you update it to 0.4.7 stable, farming and flowers will be added to the server (you will also be able to see what other players are weilding.) If you choose the latest development version, you will get better sound effects for the base game.

There was a split from the WazuClan that took the Minetest server (Wazuland2) with it as a result. So now Wazuland2 is no longer affiliated with the WazuClan.Rhys wrote:I was confused about the name changing from WazuClan.com to LinuxGaming.com xD. But it is a cool new name for the server .
The Minetest server is still on the same machine, just the domain name has changed. Same map, no wipe, all the Wazuland2 builds are there; just a different domain name.
The switch-over completed at the end of June. Now you should log in to Wazuland using:
address: LinuxGaming.us
on port: 30000

The permafy mod is a custom-made, in-house mod by Orby. It isn't downloadable from the forums or Github. As such, there isn't much documentation on it and it is frequently experimented with and revised.... still very much a "work in progress".brunob.santos wrote:Please Would anyone tell me where I can find this mod permafy?
