Yes,
Congratulations.
BTW, is this what it took to prevent greeter from fertilizing your lawns?

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Give a kid a fish, it's going to die.

I seem to be having issues connecting. I get a "connection timed out" error with settings linuxgaming2.com and port 30000
EDIT1: Well, never mind! It appears it is loading fine for my friend.
EDIT2: Using 45.33.54.11 instead of the hostname works.

Leroy: I can't help but notice the old Minetest version in the screenshot. Is this an older screenshot, or are you really using a version released in 2013?

Just a quick question about your position regarding 'generic' CSMs like rnd's basic_robot_csm.LazyJ wrote:CSMs like "Record" are OK. ..dawgdoc wrote:So far I haven't added any CSM mods to my client
I'm not bothered so much by CSMs that *only* affect the client and *not* the server
That mod is mostly a lua-sandbox with an editor-frontend where users can write+execute some code.
I wrote some useful examples on my wiki-page (see sig).
Obviously, this can be abused, eg. for spamming. OTOH, that can be done with copy&paste too.
In short, it is not the mod that misbehaves, it is the code the user puts in.
I'm currently not using 0.5.0 much, because of that annoying viewpoint-bug,
so right now it's a non-issue, but in the future I want to write more programs for that mod.

If it can be abused, then it *will* be abused and that will result in bans.hajo wrote: Obviously, this can be abused, eg. for spamming. OTOH, that can be done with copy&paste too.

I don't know what the "viewpoint-bug" is, at least not by that term.
LinuxGaming's code is so customized (and out-of-date) that posting GitHub Issues stemming from LG would mostly likely be dismissed or ignored.

Your skin has been uploaded to the server. It will take effect after the next restart.
The following info is for anyone who may read this in the future:
Usually just an image like the one pietere posted won't work.
The download link on the individual skin's page in http://www.minecraftskins.com is needed.
The page will show the skin preview on the left and four buttons on the right side:
- Upload to Minecraft
- Download
- Add to Wardrobe
- Edit Skin
Fortunately the image posted contained enough of the right text that I was able to switch around some numbers and the file name to figure out the download link.
So no worries, pietere, your skin has been uploaded and will take effect after the next restart. Until then your avatar will look like a colored blob to everyone else (a Minetest quirk). ;)

Re: [0.4.14] LinuxGaming2 - A Server for Builders
Update: I've shutdown all of LinuxGaming2 for maintenance. The VPS host sent me an email saying that they were going to move some of their customers to different hardware. LG is one of those customers affected.
There were two options, either the VPS host forced a shutdown at their deadline (potentially in the middle of save or backup) or the customers could shutdown and initiate the migration themselves at a time that best suited them. I went with the second option so I could shut stuff down properly and safely.
I don't know how long this will take; hopefully not long. (fingers crossed)
As for updates to MT, I see the devs recently created a backports version of 0.4.16. I'll check that against the work I've already done for LG's version of the stable release.
Update 2
Ok, things are back up and running again. :)
