It's also exploitable. The inventory isn't rolled back with the map. I've mined out the floor of my house several times to get more stone.

Yes, at least for me. I built a lit-up X (for my name) to mark my house, and 15 minutes later it vanished right in front of me. It looks like a chunk refresh issue.

This is a severe issue ...
may be the database is corrupted ... , don't know right now how to fix it ...

the best thing i can think of is when something gets copied too much, its starts to lose its shape, from e.g. a big circle to a deformed one.

copying constanly, like what you are doing to the staging server will also do so, keep that to a minium, and also, the minetestmapper.py may have done something, dont know why. but there were yellow patches sitting in places. (i think those bits are truly corrupted.)

the best thing i can think of, is make a new server map (with mods having /give and /teleport), but with me and bartuch as the moderators, leave it on ask to build and one more thing, dont copy the map so much to the staging server, i wonder if thats broken as well.

I think that I've fixed the issue...

Can you (players, moderators) do some quick test build to confirm the issue is gone ..

What symptoms, how does it occur ?

Hi! I'm new to this server. When I started I found a scary bug. When I tried to open the trap door to mcburgerbobs house, my pickaxe just disappeared!
btw. I'm Axel on the server. (You can call me The Shadow! You'll understand why...)

Right, the problems I casn see are,

Blocks built dissaspear when not looking at them,
Frequent bugs, e.g. trap doors not working, chunks failing to load, etc.
The lag (this could be my end, but my crappy isp maybe the problem) sometimes kills my connection, heres a img: now look at the drawtime to the fps, its odd aint it?
Leftover parts from Animals mod, clogging chunk loading times,
Cure:

Use /clearobjects when just rinoux is on, this will clear all mobs, tools, q dropped blocks, food, players (classed as tools), or

Delete the whole map, and make new one, sad but a easy fix, or

any other ideas?

Unless every player get their current client patched..
To avoid confusion, this server will not add any more mod that define new node registration.
until maintream fix availability..

meanwhile doors mod is available on staging server ... but you have to use a patched version of the client.

Hello! I play Minetest since 4 days or so... (and never played Minecraft or anything else before). So far I played singleplayer and I got tounderstand how the game works (is awesome). I want to play multiplayer to see if I like it :-??
