bloster's survival server

Hi

Welcome to my server, its a survival and pvp.
ip is 62.210.124.148 port is 30000.

mods installed is:

currency
farming_plus
gems
item_drop
landrush
simple mobs
nature
nether
skins
boats
bones
travelnet
cottage
bamboo
mesecons
pipeworks

Earlier, you said that you couldn't get the server on the public list. Is there anything in particular that you did to get it up there? I've got a problem with this.

It was caused by dfferent network interface eth0 and eth0:0 .

I feel so alone.

1 bad thing: the bones get "old" instantly, would be there a possiblility to set that time to 5 or 10 minutes?

now is one minute, too long time make the spawn invaded by bones.

Ping was about 136 seconds! Is there any infinite loop or wtf?

I noticed the lag, and i will find a solution for this problem, but :

You might need to ping your port, where minetest runs on... no idea what the reason for this lag is.

EDIT: c'mon the lag is at ~40 seconds with 5 (!) players

Thanks but the bones destroy non-walkable nodes (that's not a problem) but they stack over and over around my house :/

Could you update the main topic post, to be more inviting/descriptive? And change Spawn to be better? That would be awesome for both the users and the server popularity.
I could even make you a cool banner if you want one.

Eventually, it would be practical to set up a "donate" device, for people to donate to the server to pay for whatever is needed (More RAM, better processor, etc.)

My thoughts/suggesions about this:
- 1 static spawn (0, 20, 0)
+ command /spawn
- 1 user defined spawn (if trapped or the home is too far away from spawn)
- maximal users to 30 (if server can handle that)
- less starting materials, there area almost no free areas left around the spawn

"Too many users" is normal, that happens when alot people love a server (or when someone bombs a level with some accounts)

Awesome server, my favourite :) It's only bad that only supports 20 players, and sometimes we can't enter due to being full.

Anyways, my girlfriend can't break blocks, she can only add them to the game, is there a way to allow her the ability to break blocks? Her user for minetest is Century

my user is pdvrosado, I have no such problem. I'm running 4.8 on ubuntu 12.04 and she's running minetest 4.9 on windows 7. If someone could solve this, that would be great

Better than a "Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220 V2 @ 3.10GHz" will be hard to find, also i never made a donate service.

I just set to 30 players, hope that will make no lag...

Maybe because the server is on minetest 0.4.8, i don't see any other raison, i will upgrade to 0.4.9.

thanks :) I'm all okay in the game, im running 4.8, but my girlfriend can't break blocks at all and she is using 4.9. In another thread someone told me that the admin needs to give permission to the player to break blocks when they can't do it, in this case, Century.

i died from stone monster came back to find my bones and came face to face with a dungeon master and then i killed it and it turns out that my bones were destroyed by one of the dungeon masters fire balls but the bones of the people i was with were there. and i lost a lot of stuff.

Some suggestions again... lag was about 2 minutes again and I think some settings could speed up that all abit:

Also, I like your decide to remove the spammed claims around the spawn. Thanks alot :)
