well of all the servers I know Xanadu may have the largest variety of dirt sorts that actually differ in appearance - so there might very well hide a wealth of yet unexplored possabillities in the dirt of Xanadu ;-P

some random idiot placed a torch on a snowy mountain peak in Cornercopia and flooded the entire bamboo valley =(>.<)=

noob101 and me cleaned it. it was like a bushfire only less burning.
mabye snowmelting should be disabled like fire ...

Clarifiaction:
Firefox cleaned up, while I stood nearby, or so. I barely spent 15 minutes at it, while Fox had already been at it AND continued after my lunchbreak was over!

while i was expanding the Ninja Road, 3 individuals (their names are reported in my screenshots folder) placed torches on the glacier which is is on top of the highest mountain in Cornercopia.
a massive food flushed down the mountain right above my head, submerging my building place and the entire valley.
instead of helping to stop the calamity they attempted to do it again, but left the server before i could kill them.
then it took me 47 minutes to stop the calamity.

this time bonny came to help, otherwise it would have taken at least 20 minutes more.
the water was even flowing into the next desert!
and deserts are generated far away from glaciers, so can you imagine how big the flood was?
multiply it by 3 and add another 7. that is how big it was.

bonny told me that yesterday there was also a flood in cornercopia.
that makes 3 floods in 24 hours.


7 chickens, 2 cows, a sheep, a tree monster and a cat died today.

Firefox, so that was the reason there was water near Cornercopia, well at least yesterday night for me (which was 13 hours ago) there was an influx of water behind my shop, wasn't much though so I thought someone used 5 or 6 buckets of water there. Apparently the situation worsened today considering the amount of time it took for you to fix it.

Good to know about the snow melting, I'll remember that to be careful in the future, lucky me that I've never used torches in snowy areas.

About individuals bothering others, there is an individual who is attempting to create a shop in Cornercopia. Apparently this person was recently calling mods to /spawn as if it was an emergency just to ask for items when they get there, and yesterday was spamming questions quite often.

Would do like this: "[Someone's nick] how do I do that. [Someone's nick] how do I do that. [Someone's nick] how do I do that. [Someone's nick] how do I do that." and right after would say: "oops" regarding the spam.

Then this person was following others and I ran from it by using /home, right after that it posted on the chat:
"Mer, stop running from me, I wanted to give you something". I laughed at home and ignored this person for the rest of the day.

I don't know if I'm being too strict or even unfair, but I disliked this behavior so much that I've chosen not to help this player because of that..

So if I was being unfair, please let me know and I'll address this situation better in the future.

i recently invented it when i was flooded with questions about the location of Hell's Gate.

if i meet you sometime, i will show it to you.
it's a difficult ninja art because it requires you to combine multiple ninja arts in quick succession.

I don't have privs again, I just said 'check my ip' when shinji_ikari was online, to show him/her that I was dudegamer and wasn't going to freak out again.
I understand why I was privs 'banned' when I was fighting and putting down moderators before, but now? I was just building, said 'check my ip' to shinji, and went AFK for a second. What the crap?

I don't expect anything to happen, as Shinji is apparently your best admin, and may or may not be now hosting the server. I might as well not rejoin the server again.

the 4th flood:

this time it took me 72 minutes to clear it.
it killed 3 more cats.
it caused a server crash.
after the crash, the water was flowing in the air and re-flooded all previously cleaned areas.
a clearly visible part of the glacier is missing.

the same suspects as last time were lingering around the area, doing nothing.
one of them attacked (and almost killed) me while i was cleaning up.
so i grabbed my ninja sword and got sweet revenge before before cleaning.

most of the dropped items were lost because someone else took them.
this caused another drama and whoever held the title of "saddest player on the server" before,
you just lost it to the newest "saddest player on the server".

PChicken: it's usually best not to remind the server owner WHY they banned you in the first place then ask to check ip to confirm it... Good news is that each ip has 3 chances of playing on server so dudegamer and pchicken are limited already, but you have 1 more nick you can use to play :)

However, Shinji was telling yesterday that each character takes HD space and as far as he knows he can't delete old chars. So to others, is best to refrain from creating more than 1 character.

About Firefox situation, shouldn't these players have their privs removed?

I don't know how privs work, but would be funny to remove all the privs to put any item that produces light / heat, to see they trying to play in the darkness =-P

Once a player has broken the rules and have been limited (all privelages removed), they can no longer build, dig or talk on server meaning they cannot do anything but observe until their hunger/health is depleted. Having 3 accounts is generally for families playing on server but acts as a 3-chance system as well.

I know that they did it the first time, but they didn't know that this would happen. (But they just left afterwards!)
I recorded the first situation, but i don't have valid proof that the attempted to do it again (unless the chat-log still exists).

I can't prove that they did it the second time, but they were nearby which is why I suspect them.
One of them attacked me (I don't believe that people walk around with diamond swords and accidentally hit others), but I killed him, so that matter is solved. It's not my fault that he lost the copper from his inventory (He had a diamond sword and crystal boots, by the time you get those items you know how to use bags.).

I shared everything with bonny and she has cast here Demon Gaze on Cornercopia, so we will know exactly what's going on next time it happens. Also I will kill anyone who goes near that Glacier.

indeed one of the reasons for me not getting anything done on this server is that I wander about and keep loosing stuff (too lazy to sort the inventory) because my avatar keeps starving when I go afk to make a coffee or so

i have no idea why its down, it suddenly crashed around 1 hour ago and didnt come back since then
