So we had few horse races going on at white path, thanks to everyone who participated, this was so much fun! :D

I heard many people recommends this server so I tried joining yesterday but it was closed for new players. I tried join again just now and successfully entered the server. I gotta say it is good, the mod/modpacks used are rich, varieties of food, the rules are available in multiple languages and new players should read them. The survival tips near the spawn is also useful. I didn't explore much more yet but I'll enter the server from time to time, to explore even more.

Also, is it really intended that the crafting guide book that is available in the survival tip area is free-of-charge, when it's placed just beside the guide to create the book?? I feel weird because that's as if saying "here's how to make this, and here, just take this"... or it is actually work in progress, or someone forgot to include the price?

I have questions though...
To build houses, it says we can't build outside town, is the town actually marked??
There's mention about protection, how to know if the place is actually protected??
The rules mention no recording, but what about screenshots??

You can't record video and upload to the internet but this forum has hundreds to thousands of screenshots, so its time to ban everyone from the server if they aren't allowed. ;)

You obviously mean the rule:
"Build away from spawn (at least 400 blocks). NO building in front or beside the main spawn, ask first."
This means that it would be very appreciated if you do NOT build anywhere on the free areas around the spawn building, however, you can talk to one of the owners of the main four paths leading into all directions from spawn. There are usually plots available there, to prevent too much chaos around spawn itself. So if you feel like building close to spawn as possible, you should talk to one of the path owners who will assign you to one of the plots then. Another possibility, though, is going through one of the many portals around spawn that lead to various areas spread all over the game-world, or you try out teleportation on your own by crafting a potion or a teleportation pad (the recipes can be found in the crafting guide) where you can travel to any area in the whole world where you can freely choose a place to build at. The only restriction as mentioned above is the area around spawn which is regulated by the plots :) I hope this helped a bit and answered your question.

- Is it possible to see what something can be done? for example, question: what can tree be done (answer: craft to wooden planks) Something like reverse of crafting guide.
- Where can I look for red mushrooms? (actually I'm looking for red dye xD) The mushrooms at public farm are only white mushrooms...
- Is the unit "prot" that they write actually means the protection block? 1 prot is 1 protection block's area? (8 blocks in all direction?)
- is the height protection 8 blocks too from the protection block?

*both left and right button on physical mouse acts the same on phone, because both mouse button converted to pressing of touch screen - at least in Android Minetest (game like OpenTTD did differentiate left and right mouse button on phone, I can get the usual menu on right-click and normal usage of left-click on OpenTTD)

the end of the roads have a small wall with a sign that says not to build beyond there.
the end of the spawn roads also have those and other towns may have it too.

that is not possible (at least not with this simple craft guide). but you can see all the recipes for an item.
example: wooden planks can be made from tree trunks, wooden slabs or wooden stairs =(^.^)=

yes, prot means protection block. 1 prot's area is a cube that extends 8 blocks in all directions from the protection block.

I found the answer to my own question...

Now more questions:
- Where can I look for red mushrooms? (actually I'm looking for red dye xD) The mushrooms at public farm are only white mushrooms...

Just randomly walked at the "chaos experiment" accessible from the Beggar's Bay... many red mushrooms are at the surrounding of that chaos experiment area.

And now, I've finally finished the outside of my first house on Xanadu, built in Beggar's Bay free plot. Just the outside. I'll add the interior later. It only have my bed, protected chest & furnace for now.
