Formally announcing my server to forums. I've only been playing Minetest for a month having never even played Minecraft but hooked on playing & modding!

Zombie spawn on junglegrass and stone 24/7 all heights/lights.
Tree Monster spawn on junglegrass 24/7 all heights/lights
Sand Monster on desert sand 24/7 all heights/llights.
Barbarians on gravel 24/7 all height with lights chance drop gold armor.shield
Snow Monster on snow 24/7 all heights/;ights/
Stone, Dirt Monster, Spider, Lava Flan in caves only.
Mobs make footstep sounds, attack sounds, bleed and knockback feature on punch enabled.
Sheep - meat on kill , wool on right click
Chicken - meat on kill, egg on right click
Cow - meat and leather on kill. leather can be crafted into book and armor/shield slightly stronger than wood. milk on right click with bucket and other vessels. Cow will moo when dry of milk

Sendermen at bedrock level -30000
Cactus are spikey and hurt

Coins. Use technic compressor to compress 50 coins into ingot, Use silver coins to power Mining Plus Grinder
Rubber: Use Technic Tree tap on rubbertrees or Multitest rubber recipe for technic rubber needs
LV Tool Workshop: 900EU requirement, a little more expensive/time consuming to create than MV and slower
Landclaim and Protector protection
Writeable books .. save locations , player notes, etc
Bones : 30minutes to claim

Are there specific uptimes/downtimes on the server? I notice a pattern between when I can acsess the server and when I get stuck on connection to server

no planned downtimes, but being the amount of mods and custom code there can be crashes. I don't have an autorestart script because i'd rather fix the crash so if i'm away or sleeping server might be down for hours. i try to do backups when server is empty or every 6/12 hours, backups only take a minute but i may also be updating code during that time so can be a hour of downtime.

Server was down for a length of time yesterday while i was out then had furnace loop crash from some newbs putting regular items in full dst box and cooking new items. Server was down this morning while i was out and TNT griefers crashed server

Could you make a custom autorestart script you can activate if you are away? You could make it so if the server has had to restart more than usual in a period of time, it would stop restarting the server. That way, If the server shuts down due to a fluke of a problem, or simply lag while your away, then the server turns on again. Otherwise, if the server has restarted multiple times in a short time, signifying a repeating error that requires attention, then the server will not restart until you fix the problem and trigger it to restart. Im not sure how else to explain this any more, but is this possible. This server is the main server I play on and it is frustrating when it shuts down for hours on end.

Hi Tony

Just on the current server crashes, I believe I know which item and where is causing it!

On first crash, I was helping minetest get alloy furnace built, he'd been baking bricks in a locked furnace, bricks were using the last Dst slot available. I believe he change to source item with 1 clay having baked, leaving 1 brick in the last dst slot. (Remember noobs with full dst slots).

Reason it was crashing when I joined, is not due my profile being corrupt as such, but because I was spawning where the furnace is, putting it active block range. This changed after you cleared my profile, which put me back at spawn, away from the furnace. Moments after you went offline, minetest joined, which put the furnace active, with no slot for the item to go to.

Data for mods will be downloaded automatically from the server, no need to have them on client.
It takes long time on this server to download all data, i wonder how downloading a few megabytes take so long..

Waiting for the data to download is worth it, once you're on, you're not going to go anywhere else!

I don't know why but everytime i try to log on I get stuck on Connecting to Server..Was I banned? All i was doing was mining and i didn't do anything bad or ban worthy. Please let me know. I really enjoy this server.

OK So I tried to log in again once the server showed up on the public list again but it still wouldn't work. I just got stuck on Connecting to Server....

Unfortunately we just have to wait, until Tony is available to reset the server, it is a WIP, so sometimes this can happen.

This is the mese generator using the Wet Gravel method.
Fully automated, except for supplying it with the gravel.

I'll publish building instructions as soon as I get a chance too.

sorry all was at Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden concert today \m/

media dowload is something like 17mb in my cache folder. depending on your and mine intertnet initial connection can be be slow. lag is minimal considering amount of mods but can and does happen... show me a minetest server without lag (fixed in freeminer tm)

oh! not a problem at all! don't worry.

Just to be sure, is it working with 0.4.9v? That's my version right now, and I'm getting some crashed that I used to have while trying to connect with a testing version server. The description sais "0.4.9 and Greater Clients Only"...

i compile minetest against latest git and with protocol definitions to only allow 049 and greater to connect. I do have 049 players so it should work. One thing that could be possibly causing crash is there's a player join sound on login, i know i personally had problems with this with a 049dev client

EDIT: I found the answer to this on another post, and from my own knowledge. Tony has an automated restart script, but it is buggy, so it may start the server and the glitch may shut it down over and over again.

Also, just a question? How far is active block range? A chunk?
