This would make vessels a mandatory dependency though. I could work on it, so it is optional again.
Additionally, the crafting recipes for pep:speedreset and pep:jumpreset should be changed, so vessels don't get lost.
That kinda makes sense.
You might want to take a look at it.
This mod was specifically made for player_effects and more or less started as an example. I don't have huge interest in porting it to anything else, even with patches ready.

Note all my Minetest projects are currently “on hold”.

Cool Mod!
But there is a bug:
If you are in water and use tho no gravity potion you can go upwards. When you are out of water you are flying higher and higher.

I'm not changing it, nor considering it a bug. To push yourself through water, you're applying a force. And the fact that you might move at constant speed in 0 G is also correct. This is in accordance to Newton's first law of motion.

Besides, I think this makes for some interesting stunts. I haven't considered the water trick, but it's OK with me. Exactly such “tricky” maneuvers are the reason why I added the no gravity potion. :)

Hi, locale/pep.de.tr is missing a textdomain comment. This is required by Minetest. Other locale files may be missing textdomains too

Hello, Wuzzy.
I have a question about the name of the module.
You have named your module "Player Effects Potions" or just "PEP" for short.
As I understand the potions affect a player's properties.
But at the first glance we can consider the word "effects" to be the verb, and understand the name as "a player produces potions".
While really this word is the plural noun.
So I would like to note that the name "Player Effect Potions" (without "s") should be clearer than "Effects". Because we have a chain of nouns.

Version 1.5.0 released!

by Wuzzy » Post

Version 1.5.0 released!

This version now requires Minetest 5.0.0 or later.

Changelog:
  • Make mod ready for Minetest 5.0.0 and clean up files (locale, mod.conf, legacy code, etc.)
  • Change mod name to “Player Effect Potions” (from “Player Effects Potions”)
  • Change crafting recipes of air potion and weak mana potion
It's amazing people still care about this mod after 10 years. XD

I don't intend to seriously work on this anymore, except for giving it very very basic “life support”. This mod was actually only really meant as a demonstration/example of the playereffects mod, but still functional. If you want add potions in your own game, I would strongly recommend to make your own.
