I like your Mod.
Some doors are pretty nice, others are funny.
I like the idea of "Secret Doors", chests, bookshelf or just stone.

Are the doors, specifically the sliding doors, in this mod mesecons-compatible?

Also, placing the doors does not seem to reduce the number of doors in the inventory, although breaking a door and picking it up will add to the number in the inventory.

And finally; it would be nice to be able to choose between doors that share the same recipe somehow.

the sign mod uses a system where one sign can be crafted into the next sign, and that sign can be crafted into the next sign after that, and then the last sign can be crafted into the first sign again. It is a bit cumbersome, but it does allow you to pick between several options with identical recipes.

I have added a few doors recently but didn't do the crafts. Life got a little crazy for me. I plan on making crafts for the doors that do not have their own crafts.
When I get back to it I will look at drops. I am not sure why the inventory count wouldn't be reduced on place.
I plan on adding mesecon support. Hopefully I get to this soon. If someone wants to do a pull request for thos I would be grateful.
Having recipes that use doors to make doors might be a good way to add more recipes. Thanks for the suggestion. I was running out of ideas.

I added the old doors mod code to the modpack and renamed it to mdoors. This will make it so the doors will work with the newest Minetest Game. This solves the crash caused by the new doors mod switching to mesh doors.

Update - Changed for the new doors api

If you are running the latest dev version of minetest you will want to update. If you are not then do not update. Use the older version of mydoors.

I just pushed a fix to an error with castle doors. Only effects the new version.

Great mod Don!

I wouldn't bother trying to integrate signs_lib for text. There are too many potential problems with that.
AFA shared locked doors go, I'm going to see if I can get locks mod to work with new-style doors.

Tenplus1 submitted a PR for a key that would make it so the doors can be set to different types.
I gave up on putting signs on doors. People will just have to put a sign beside the door.

There seems to be some kind of conflict with this mod and the default doors on the most recent version, when I have any part of MyDoors enabled, the game crashes and the debug text is pointing at scripts for both the mod and a default game one.

Are you running the dev version of minetest? The latest version has meshnode doors instead of nodebox doors. You need the latest dev version of minetest for it.

If you are running 0.4.13 or below then you need this version of mydoors.

The new doors look good - in particular the right, blueish one. Does it slide to the side when opened? It does look like a door found on a space station or spaceship.

Yes it does slide. If you make them double doors they both open at the same time.

I appear to have found a problem with this mod. There is way to produce the stained wood to make the doors.

Steps:
Start a new map
Add MyDoors and a craft guide as the only mods
Play
Check the craft guide
Trace the wood back on the secret doors and you'll find there is no recipe.
Check the dark stained dye and it shows an unknown item in the crafting box.

Hopefully this wasn't posted before, but is there an easy way to make the "Hidden Doors", not locked? I looked at the code thinking it would be an easy setting but it seemed more complicated than I would have thought. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
